TUNKHANNOCK BOROUGH COUNCIL Regular Meeting January 3, 2019 President Robert Robinson called the Monthly Meeting oft the' Tunkhannock Borough Council to order in the Borough Building, 126 Warren Street, Tunkhannock, PA: at' 7:00 p.m. He led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Present were: Mayor Norman Ball, Council Members: Ben Barziloski, Marshall Davis, Scott Douthett, Dan Gay, Robert Robinson, Lisa Tesluk, Ruth Vincenti, David Wiggins, Others present were: ChiefKeith Carpenter, Ned Slocum, Michael Distadio, Susan Distadio, Patty Mead, Stephen Vincenti, Carl Williams, Ron Coolbaugh, Wyoming County Press Reporter On motion by Scott Douthett, seconded by Ruth Vincenti, move to approve December 6, On motion by Ben Barziloski, seconded by Dan Gay, move to approve the payment of bills. and Borough Manager Dawn Welch. Public Privilege oft the Floor: N/A Wyoming County Chamber: Gina Suydam, Wyoming County Chamber President asked to explain to the Tunkhannock Borough Council thel benefits of belonging to the Chamber due to the rate increase. Ginaj passed out a list oft benefits to the Council. After much conversation, she was asked to come back to speak to Council on January 17th at 1:00 p.m. Appointments: On motion by Ben Barziloski, seconded by David Wiggins, move to appoint: Park: Caroline Innamoratti, and Sam Elias term ending 12/31/2021. Wyoming County Parks & Trails: Sam Elias term ending 12/31/2021. Zoning/Hearing Board: Carl Penedos term ending 12/31/2021. Planning Commission: Susann Barziloski term ending 12/31/2023. Motion carried unanimously. Police Committee: Chief Carpenter presented a summary ofthe Police Report for the Month ofDecember 2018. Note: a copy oft the report is on file in the Police Department. Chief Carpenter asked the Council to advertise for a crossing guard. On motion by Marshall Davis, seconded by Ben Barziloski, move to advertise for a crossing guard. Motion carried unanimously. Finance and Administration Committees: Transportation and Streets Committees: Chairman Robinson reported that UGI had sent: residents and businesses in the first phase a letter ifyou are interested in natural gas to contact Carmen Attanasio at (570)830-1256. There will be a public meeting January 21rst at 6:00 p.m. ini the chamber for residents and businesses that are: now in the floodplain. Building and Property Committees: Riverside Park Committee: Planning & Zoning Committees: Peoples Security. Bank is seeking a variance for an electronic sign on January 16that 7 p.m. Council of Governments (COG): Chairman Barziloski reported a there will be ai reorganization meeting February 12, 2019.
