2 Council Meeting March 1, 2021 Turtle Creek Borough regular monthly Council meeting held on March 1, 2021 was called to order by President Nick Bianchi who led the Pledge of Allegiance. Concurring, not recurring. Motion Ms. Henkel, Mr. Nolan approving the February 2021 regular meeting minutes as corrected. Motion carried. Correspondence: The Woodland Hills High School Performing Arts Department is asking Council to take out an ad int their program for Jesus Christ Super Star. Ini the past we have done a large ad for $60. Motion Mr. Osman, Mrs. Tinsley approving the donation of $60 for an ad in the' WHHS Performing Arts program. Motion carried. The Turtle Creek Watershed Association is requesting Council renew their Gold Membership Fee in the amount of $100. Motion Mr. Spencer, Mr. Osman approving the renewal of the Gold Business membership to the T.C. Watershed Association in the amount of $100. Motion carried. Connect, a new program, is requesting membership from Council toj join other municipalities to talk about how to improve the communities. The membership fee is $200/year. 3 Motion Mr. Estocin, Ms. Henkel approving the request toj join Connect in the amount of $200/year membership fee. Motion carried. Allegheny County Elections Department is requiring the use of the facilities on May 18, Motion Mr. Estocin, Ms. Henkel approving the use of the facilities by the Allegheny County Elections Department, just for voting, on May 18,2021. Motion carried. *Q-F President Bianchi stated that the building will be roped off because it is technically still closed, and they must clean up when they are finished. Citizens Reports: Dale Bizub = resident of 1414 Mobile Avenue and representative of the TCDC is requesting Council make a donation ini the amount of $500 to help with the Turtle Creeker. Motion Mr. Nolan, Mrs. Tinsley approving the request for a donation in the amount of $500 to the TCDC, for the Turtle Creeker. Motion carried. John Boone - a representative of the Woodland Hills Youth Soccer is requesting the use of Hamilton Park this spring for practices. They are trying to create what we already have, which is our Crime Watch Group. Mr. Spencer stated that they have hired 2 Full-Time Officers: Brian Neff, hired on March 16, 2021 at $19.77 for the first 6 months, which will Emily Carrigan hired on April 27, 2021 at $19.77 for the first 6 months, which will increase until he is at 100%. increase until she is at 100%. Police and Public Safety: Mayor Kelley - started out thanking Council for the 2 Full Time Officers and congratulated them. She is very happy with the quality of our Officers during my 2 terms. Mayor Kelley read the Chiefs reports for February 2021 Chiefs Report for January 2021: Total Incidents Total Lock-Ups Traffic Suspicious Persons 13 Theft Stolen Vehicles & Gun 10 Wanted persons Domestics Overdose 397 9 51 5 6 34 1 5 Mayor Kelley stated that Clean Up Day will be held of April 24, from 10am = 1pm.
