2 Council Meeting January 4, 2021 Turtle Creek Borough regular monthly Council meeting held on January 4, 2021 was called to order by President Nick Bianchi who led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: President Bianchi - present Mr. Estocin - absent Ms. Henkel - absent Mr. Nolan - present Solicitor - present via phone Approval of the December minutes: Mr. Osman - present Mr. Spencer = present Mrs. Tinsley - absent Mayor Kelley - present Regular December Meeting, December 7, 2020 Motion Mr. Spencer, Mr. Osman approving the December 2020 regular meeting minutes as submitted. Motion carried. Tentative Budget Meeting, December 14. 2020 Motion Mr. Nolan, Mr. Osman approving the Tentative Budget meeting minutes as submitted. Motion carried. Final Budget Meeting, December 28 Motion Mr. Spencer, Mr. Osman approving the Final Budget meeting minutes as submitted. Motion carried. Correspondence: none Citizens Reports: Phillip Catalano - resident of 824 Maple Avenue stated that he had two issues. The first being 838 Maple Avenue. He stated that there is a bus stop there and it is difficult to get to due to all of the rocks that are there and that there are multiple parking issues. He stated that he painted lines on the public street in front of his house to try to solve parking issues. 3 President Bianchi stated that this is illegal, but they would look ini to how to help with The second issue is with 828 Maple Avenue. He stated that this is a 34 house and there are five families living there and questioned if they were violating any laws. He also stated that the house is in bad shape and causing damage to his property. President Bianchi stated that there is a hearing scheduled on February 3 at the Magistrate about this property and suggested that he attend as a witness. these issues. Committee Reports: President Bianchi stated that they need to set the garbage fee for 2021. Motion Mr. Spencer, Mr. Nolan approving the2021 garbage fee at 55.75 per quarter. Council received a letter from Officer Barbusio informing them of his retirement. He stated that his last day of work will be on January 14, 2021, and with a combination of personal, vacation, and sick days, his last day as a full time officer will be March 21, Motion carried. 2021. Motion Mr. Spencer, Mr. Osman accepting the retirement of Officer Denny Barbusio, with his last work day being January14 2021, and his last day of employment President Bianchi stated that he would like the Borough Administrator to set up informal meetings with the 21 full time candidates individually, with Council, the Mayor, and the being March 21, 2021.
