Account# 01- 00900-00 is to be shut off, but questions arose as to what the limitations are for shut offs in cold weather. The municipality falls under the Federal Power Commission and we can shut off power anytime, where the PUC cannot shut off power between October Ist and April 1st. It was the consensus of Council to call the landlord and give that tenant one more week to pay. Also, Account# 01-01240-00 contacted the electric secretary and remarked that hel had his leg amputated and has no money, with Council agreeing to give him one more month to pay. An electric issue was brought to the attention of Council by the electric secretary, that there is a meter that is probably not working properly at 411 Jackson Street. The issue oft the entire electric bill is always around thirty dollars a month, which is not correct. Therefore, it was the consensus ofCouncil to have the electrician change the: meter.
