Meeting December 12, 2017 The regular monthly meeting for Summerhill Borough Council was opened by Vice-President Council members present; Daryl Bodenschatz (7:40pm), Russell Jones, Jeff] Rolla, Becky Others present; secretary/Ireasurer Laura Penatzer, Mayor Eric Miller, Street Commissioner Thomas Susko, Electrician Robert McCormick, Electric Secretary Karmen Baumgardner, Daniel Beyer (The EADS Group), Michael Belvia (Pro Disposal) and Ronald Portash (Mainline Terri Washko with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Michael Belvia with Pro Disposal questions Council ifthey were aware oft the amounts for refuse from Pro Disposal and Croyle Township, that was printed in the Portage Dispatch. Mr. Belvia states that the figures were incorrect, that the difference between the two were only $7.56, Pro Disposal for an annual figure was $157.56 and Croyle Township is $150.00, plus $50.00 additional for ashes. He goes on to report that he believes that 35-40% of the residents for Summerhill Borough uses ashes, therefore it will be $42.44 additional for residents who need to pay for ashes. Spring clean-up will also take more than one truck and would like Mr. Portash to run another article to correct the figures. Mr. Belvia remarks that if Council would choose to stay with Pro Disposal, that he would roll-over the figures for an additional year at the same cost as the agreement now. Mayor Eric Miller remarks that the intergovernmental agreement with Croyle Township would benefit the residents more than just refuse; i.e. working together and Daniel Beyer with The EADS Group wanted to congratulate Council on the award ofthe Multi- modal Grant. Councilman Terri Washko remarked that she spoke to Larry Penatzer about taking the place of Daniel Penatzer, but this was only by word ofmouth.
