BOROUGH OF SOUTH GREENSBURG REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING Minutes June 10th, 2019 Council President Clentin Martin called the meeting to order at 6:30: P.M. All those present repeated the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. COMMITTEE REPORTS: MAYOR: Fajt wanted to thank Kathy Hopkins, Nalavanko, and Recreation Board for all oftheir help in the park and for hosting the concert in the park on Saturday June 2nd. Street light at Western is finally working. Basketball court new: motion sensor lights- the one facing towards the school may need moved al little. FIRE & WATER: Report is in packet, Rosensteel was absent PARKS & RECREATION: Dobies- Sub Sale went well. Parents Association said no toj paying $250 for escrow account for concession stands therefore recreation will manage concession stands next year. Meeting with SouthWest Greensburg & City of Greensburg on June 25th to discuss sharing fields. Selling current pitching machine and would like toj purchase a smaller one. Concert in the park went well. PLANNING, ZONING & CODE ENFORCEMENT: Kathy working on sidewalk and grass enforcement. Vote: Yes 4, No 1- Martin, Absent 2, Abstain 0- Motion Passed Motion made by Dobies and seconded by Yarnell to sign a 1-year contract with Savvy Citizen which will include setting up an online calendar for a base fee of $690.00 plus calendar fee. Being that there will be certain percentage of residents that we hope to have utilize the service in order to keep the contract after the year time frame.
