SHICKSHINNY BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES February: 2,2021 The General Meeting oft the Borough of Shickshinny Council was held on Tuesday, February2,: 2021 in the council room of the Shickshinny Municipal Building. President Rosalie Whitebread called the Per roll call, thet following members of council were present: Candy Kruczek, Rosalie Whitebread and meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Jim Wido. Joe Buchalski & Kevin Kruczek was absent. There were no comments on the agenda items. ENGINEER'S REPORT None MAYOR'S REPORT None None ZONING OFFICER'S REPORT PRESIDENT'S REPORT Rosalie Whitebread stated that she contacted: some people regarding the blighted property on Parker Hill, she sent all the paper work to them that was needed, Tom Reilly will advertise for bids for this to be Rosalie talked to the Solicitor about Bartoli Lane, iti is still posted as a one-way road, however, backi in 20161 the resolution to make it a one way never passed; therefore, the signs can be taken down sO thati it isat two-way road. Motion to remove the one-way signs and place a stop sign on Bartoli Lane was made The Estimates for the Street improvement Grant from Emmett Mancinelli were discussed. These estimates are above the Grant funds and two Streets were added on and should not have been. Lori is going to get in touch with the Penn Dot Municipal Services Rep and ask him to come and look at each of these roads, tell us what needs to be done and give us an estimate of what the cost will be. Rosalie is going to have the Attorney send al letter to Waste Management about the roads theya are Larry Frace is interested in buying the refrigerator, stove and all the cabinets to be used in his new building for $750 and the sink for $400. He will have them removed as well. Motion to sell these items to Larry Frace was made by Kim Wido and seconded by Candice Kruczek. All Council members voted yes. All Motion to approve the payment of Bills was made by Candice Kruczek and seconded by. Jim Wido. All Resolution authorizing Lori Ragazzo to be the designated signer for the loan agreements with First Keystone Bank. Motion to accept was made by Candice Kruczek and seconded by Jim Wido. Old Business: Rosalie stated that the Borough needs to hire a Supervisor for the Street Department and suggested that they give that position to Mike Shoemaker. Motion was made by. Jim Wido to give Mike Shoemaker this position at a rate of $15/per hour. Motion was seconded by Candice Kruczek. All council Members voted yes. CORRESPONDENCE: None Business owner Melissa Humm addressed the council members about some parking issues that might occur once their business opens. Council informed her that one of the lots near them might be for sale and maybe they should contact the owner. Meeting adjourned
