ENGINEER'S REPORT-Tin Oak's Consulting Report is altached Motion to approve the payment for contracts #: 2&3J for LSA Sidewalks grant in the amount ofS45,476.00 was made by. Reilly Associates- President Whitebread read the bids sent in by Reilly Associates for the demolition of26 Conyngham street: Brdaric xuratingsl.0.0. Don E. Bower, Ine.-814,215.00 & Stell Enterprises- $23,800.00. Joe Buchalski to start using Cedar Rock Material for anti-skid, motion seconded by *Motion to adopt the Luzerne County Municipal Solid Waste Management Plan Resolution vas made by *Motion lo authorize the request for payment for the Historical Society grant in the amount fS11,313.00 was made by Candice Kruczek and seconded by. All Council Members voted yes. *Lori informed the council members that the remaining funds lefi over from the LSA sidewalk grant is approximately $43,000, thesej funds cannot be transferred to another grant, therefore a change order was submilted to the CFA to add Irene and Crary Streets to that grant/ project and upon approral (uhich will not be until March 23nl) these roads can gel repaired through that grant. The CDBG grant for 2019 for $148,000 will corer Rockriew East and Rockriew West. The Estimates from Twin Oaks Consulting and EP Mancinelli for Rockriew East & West were reriewed. Joe PRESIDENT'S REPORT-President Whitebread informed the council members ofthe following: *The Borough still has not receired scord ifthe) flood mitigation grant that we applied for is approved or not. Shickshinny Borough will be hosting an Easter Egg hunt on March 21, 2021 at 2:00 and everyone is *The Shickshinny Sewer authoritya asked the borough to apply for a grant through the LSA on their behalf, howerer they are not doing uchat they are: supposed to be doing. All the paperwork is supposed lo be coming through the Borough and the agreement was not signed properly. President Whitebread stated that she wants to see them get this grant, bul they have to do this the proper way. Attorney Burke will contact the. Sewer President Whitebread had a discussion with joe Buchalski about the Butler Street Claim, information is President Whitebread informed the council Members that some of the Fire. Hydrants on Grant Street are not working and she contacted Nick at PA American Water about this, she asked them to hare someone come to inspect them because the fire fighters had issues with them during aj fire they informed the borough that they were not working. She also asked ifthe Borough would get some kind ofcredit on the water bills since thisis Shickshinny Borough resident Mr. Rinehard addressed the board aboul his property and the adjoining Cemetery. When he purchased this property, he was told his property is ererything in between the retaining walls. He found out while his property was being surveyed that his property extended beyond the wall and there were bodies buried on his properly, Mr. Rinehard stated that he does not want part of the cemetery on his) property. Ifthe borough wants to take the property back doven to the retaining walls, which is what he thought he had in the first place, then that is uhat he wants done. Attorney Burke will talk to Mr. CORRESPONDENCE-Lori informed the members ofa grant opportunity through the PA American Water Company.
