SHICKSHINNY BOROUGH WORK SESSION MINUTES April29,2021  The monthly wcork session meeting of the Borough of Shickshinny Council uas held on Thursday, April 29, 2021, in the council room ofthe Shickshinny. Municipal Building. President Rosalie Perroll call, the following members ofcouncil were presen!: Rosalie Whitebread, Candice Kruczek &. Jim Wido. Kerin Kruczek & Joe Buchalski were absent. Secretary Lori Ragazzo was present. ENGINEER'S REPORT- Rosalie met with. John Ackerman on Crary Street regarding the changes in the roaducay which was determined. by Frank Grabouski's maps. A"No. Parking" sign needs to be placed on that road. A Resolution will be needed for this sign and be presented at Tuesday's meeting. The road work will now include a turn around schich will be created during the paring project. The project's that include PRESIDENT'S REPORT- Ms. Whitebread informed the council members that the Lot leases are. just about done, there are aj few more lefi to do. Rosalie discussed the Taxes that are ouced on 125/127 West Union Street. She spoke with Luzerne County and the School District about this and they said just to send in a letter requesting a wairer of the taxes. Lori sent those letters oul and now zce are) just waiting, fora response. The Sewer Authority sent a letter requesting a share oft the. American Recorery Funds, this will be pul on the agenda for Tuesday's meeting. Letter receire from Mocanaqua Fire Company regarding being a sponsor for their annual golf tournament, this will be on Tuesday's agenda. Chris Stoodley has been donating his time putting up 49. flags on the poles throughout the toun, he has been here three times so. far and is coming back again to pul up more, Rosalie is asking the Council ifa donation can be giren to him, this will be on Tuesday's agenda. Rosalie updated the members ofthe work being done by the street department. Rosalie updated the Council Members about the. LSA Grant for Irene & Crary, Rockrieu East & West and also the HVAC grant. All was approred by the CFA and things are moring along. All the equipment that has been sent out for repairs are all back now and running great. The three bathrooms are all haring issues, two of them are leaking and the one'st toilet is too: small/lou to the ground. Chris Stoodley submitted a quote to do some tree trimming, this will be discussed at Tuesday's meeting. United Heating Bills for repairs to thej furnace was reriewed and a quote for repairing the upstairs unit. SECRETARY/TREASURERS REPORT- Lori presented the folloeing, forrerieu:  Whitebread called the meeting 10 order at 6:00 pm.  Irene, Crary. East & W est Rock View should be started sometime in. June.
