SHICKSHINNY BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES July 6, 2021  The General Meeting of the Borough of Shickshinny Council was held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, in the council room ofthe Shickshinny Municipal Building. President Rosalie Whitebread called Per roll call, the following members ofcouncil were present: Rosalie Whitebread, Jim Wido, & Candice Kruczek. Kevin Kruczek came in at 7:00, p.m. &. Joe Buchalski was absent.  the meeting to order at 6:00 pm.  There were no Solicitor's Report or Engineer's Report  Zoning Officer's Report: - Sonny from Larry Frace's office updated the Council members about his report. There was an extensive discussion regarding some violations mentioned in his report. Report attached. Motion to accept the report was made by Candice Kruczek and seconded by President's Report-Jeremy Longenberger will email a quote to the Borough, for the work needed in the upstairs and dounstairs bathrooms making them ADA Compliant. Rosalie informed the Council members of the situation that is happening regarding Irene and Crary Streets, she spoke with John Ackerman aboul the new changes that are being incorporated. Theses changes are not what the Borough wants, John has a hole being put in the mountain to create a turnaround, Rosalie wanted the end of the Mountain Shaved which would be an easier solution as that section ofproperty belongs to the Borough. Rosalie asked the contractors/John what they were, going to do to stabilizet that Mountain afier cutting this hole out of it and they said, nothing except put millings int there, the Borough will have to clean il out from time to time. Rosalie states that. John Said the shoulders were removed and the drain work, the only work being done is milling and paving. He also stated that he didn't know about the large hole and that is not included in this contract either. Rosalie contacted the school regarding the request for waiver of taxes that were. sent back in April, Rosalie stated that she received a call from Maryann Blume regarding the right of way on Crary and had a proposal for the Borough to consider. Burke. still does not have the information The meeting with BJfor the Borough Insurances was scheduled for August 18th, 2021 @ 5:00 p.m. Motion to accept the presidents report was mad by Candice Kruczek and seconded by. Jim Wido. SECRETARY/TREASURERS, REPORT-* Motion to accept the meeting minutes ofJune 8, 2021, was made by. Jim Widoa and seconded by Candice Kruczek. All members voted yes.  Jim Wido. AIl Members voted yes.  This conversation went on for a long time and no results were agreed upon. they informed Rosalie that this will be brought up at the next Board meeting.  needed regarding the right ofway, yet.  Vote: Candice- Yes, Jim- yes & Rosalie-Abslained    No work session was held at the end ofJune.  *Motion to approve the payment ofBills & Financial Statement was made by Candice Kruczek As special meeting will be held on July 15, 2021, 6:00 p.m to award the bid for Rockveiw Eastand Motion to accept the Secretaries report was made by. Jim Wido and seconded by Candice Kruczek.  and: seconded by. Jim Wido. All Council Member voted yes.  West.  All members voted yes. CORRESPONDENCE-  The Runegades Half Marathon is asking, for permission to give the runners a beer afier the race. Motion was made by Candice Kruzek, giving permission to hold the event but nol to serve alcohol. Employee Mike Shoemaker informed the Council members that some kids drew swastika symbols on the borough pavilion. The State Police were called, and the kids were confronted and made to Mr. Rinard was in attendance and asked the Council members for an update on the subdivision for his property. Rosalie made a motion to pay the invoices for this subdivision of Mr. Rinard's The Council Members went into an executive session to discuss personnel issue al 7:05 p.m. and Motion was made to adjourn by Candice Kruczek & seconded by Kim Wido.
