SHICKSHINNY BOROUGH SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES September 10, 2021  A Special Meeting of the Borough fShickshinny Council was held on Friday, September 10, 2021, in the council room ofthe Shickshinny Municipal Building. President Rosalie Whitebread Peri roll call, the following members ofcouncil were present: Rosalie Whitebread, Jim Wido, Candice Kruczek: &. Joe Buchalski. Kevin Kruczek was absent. Borough Engineer, John Ackerman was present and Nikolas Naidu of Mohawk Contracting and. Development was on the John Ackerman starled the discussion regarding the Crary Street project and the funds owed to Mohawk contracting. Nikolas Naidu was on the telephone and discussed with the council members the amount owed to him from the work completed on previous contracts. Nik and the council members verified each payment request and it was determined that the remaining balanceof $6,076.00 still needs to be paid to Mohawk Contracting and Mohawk Contracting needs to complete the touch up work on Glenn Avenue, which includes sealing, seeding and repair small hole. Motion toj pay Mohawk the remaining balance of $6,076.00 was made by. Joseph Buchalski There was a lengthy discussion regarding the change orders for Crary and Irene Street, in orderto complete the project with the amount offunds that are available and have the huge hole on Crary Street repaired, an option would be to eliminate the work on Irene Street and put that cost into Crary Street toj fix that road properly. Motion was made to do the repairs to Crary Street with the addition of repairing the large hole and removing Irene Sreet from the project. Motion was made by Candiceand. seconded by. Joe Buchalski. Vote: Joe B.. yes, Candice Kruczek yes, Jim Wido yes, Rosalie Whitbread voted No, because. she is agains! putting a hole in the Mountain to create the turnaround, she wanted the turnaround at the end ofther mountain where they would have been able Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by.
