SHICKSHINNY BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES October 5, 2021 The General Meeting ofthe Borough fShickshinny Council was held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, in the council room ofthe Shickshinny Municipal Building. President Rosalie Whitebread Per roll call, the following members ofcouncil were, presen!: Rosalie Whitebread, Jim Wido, & Candice Kruczek. Joe Buchalski & Kevin Kruczek was absent. Auorney Burke present. President's Report- There is an issue with Rockview Ave. Bower did a wonderful job paving that road but whoever they hired to do the guiderails pul the posts in where there is no. solid ground and where there was little ground to put the posts in, they smashed the newly paved road. Candice and Rosalie received a call from Tanner McDougall and he informed them that there was no cushion money within the bid like John Ackerman stated was there. Tanner explained the entire contract with both ofthem. Rosalie called to discuss this with. John Ackerman and he informed Rosalie that she had no business talking to Tanner. There are. some serious issues on this road due to this work, in some areas there is a huge gap between the paved road and the guiderail, this is a Rosalie discussed the Crary Street project. The removal of Irene Street was approved by Council during a special meeting on September 10, 2021. Rosalie stressed her concerns again regarding putting a hole in the mountain. She is also confused as to why the change order mentions work to be done on Glenn Avej for $10,800. She contacted. Attorney Burke about replacing this engineer and he stated that she can call Tom Reilly to discuss, he will be meeting with Rosalie on Thursday. Rosalie called DEP regarding the Creek along South Main Street and near South Susquehanna Ave. and downstream ofButler Streel. Mike Sames from DEPstated that the. Borough has no responsibility, for the maintenance ofthe structures or Channel as this channel lies on private Motion was made to accept the president's report by Candice Kruczek and seconded by.
