Downtown Sayre Murals  October 25, 2022  PUBLICART  Friends of Sayre Public, Art Mural Update  Would you like to paint the next mural?  Our next murals will include a paint! by number technique that will allow community members to pick up a brush andj join in. Our professional artist creates the design and a sketch of the completed work. After approval iti is transposed onto a paper-like fabric in an outline form. This becomes the canvas thati is painted in and attached tot the wall. The results are remarkable! You can also email us at: adsyeaiwiynton  Murals One and' Two  In2 2022, our first year, we were able to put two murals up in Sayre. The first on the Blackburn building (thet former Chacona's restaurant) and the second ont the alleyway of Packer Avenue. Both of these murals were financed through the generous donations of the Friends of Sayre Public Art, and we thank you once again for your support. There will be plaques going up on each mural which will tell a bit about the design as well as more in-depth information about both the mural subject and the artist for each mural.    Downtown Sayre Murals  October 25, 2022  Did youl know both of the artists oft these first two murals  are from Sayre?  Celebrating Together with the Town. Each mural has concluded with a celebration and a Pop Up Art Show. The first mural coincided with the Street Fair, sO we were able to really draw int thet town, and over 400 people walked through the Pop Up Art Show, whichi took up: several rooms of a vacant downtown Our second Pop Up Art Show took place outside as we turned the alleyway into "Artist Alley" fori the night displaying over 50 pieces ofl local art created just fort this show.
