JANUARY 12, 2010 The January 2010 Council Meeting was held on 1/12/10 in the Penn Lake Community House. The meeting was called to order by President Jill Rosenstock at 7:30 p.m.with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. present. Also present was Mayor Warner. Roll Call: Jill Rosenstock,Barbara Sudimak, Ned McGuire and Jack Kile all The December 2009 were presented and placed on display. A motion to accept the minutes as presented was made by Kile and 2nd by McGuire., roll call all in favor, TREASURERS REPORT was presented and accepted by a motion made by McGuire, 2nd by Sudimak, roll call all in favor none opposed, motion carried. Council regretfully accepted the Resignation of Council Member Fred Favire, motion was by Sudimak, 2nd by McGuire roll call all in favor none opposed, motion carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: President Rosenstock introduced all members and appointees ofthe Borough. A discussion ensued regarding a letter received from Frank Fritz requesting to be considered for the open council seat. It was decided to table this matter until the February meeting. The remaining speed limit signs and the drainage issue near 1088/1087 Lakeview Drive will be addressed when the weather permits. Jack Glass asked about the sewer hookup fee, Attorney Karpovich will check into the matter and get back to Mr. Glass. Jack Kile discussed the report from Geo Science dam stability analysis which included but is not limited to drilling bore holes, expanding spillway and various others ideas. Jack Kile further investigate with Geo Science discussion ensued. Tom Carter explained the FEMA flood plain plan. A motion was made by Sudimak to appoint Karen Schnaithmann to the Planning Commission for a period of 4 years. 2nd by McGuire roll call all in favor none opposed, motion carried. COMMITTEE REPORTS: Recreation- nothing to report Roads- Chris Herbner new plower and was asked to plow roads wider Dam-annual Dam Inspection has a few recommendation will be dealt with weather permits. Water/ealth-nothing to report urchasingsewers-moling to report Police-no calls Zoning Officer, Keith Wheeler had nothing to report as he had not had a chance to review the files. He suggested that there may be some changes to the permit application. NEW BUSINESS: The new phone system was announced. Borough residents will be receiving further explanation in with their garbage bills. The Borough phone number is 570-443- 8017. Please follow the prompts. A motion was made by McGuire, 2nd by Kile to adopt newj permit fees, roll call all in favor none opposed, motion carried. The new fees were read by.
