CITYOF  OAKDALE  State of Minnesota City of Oakdale  Proclamation  WHEREAS, Tartan High School's DECA chapter was founded in 1998 and their original School Store was WHEREAS, DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and WHEREAS, members in the DECA program learn real world business, personal selling, and social skills; have easy access to hands-on learning materials; and obtain job references for the future; and WHEREAS, the Tartan DECA program enhances school spirit and promotes community growth and WHEREAS, members of DECA manage and operate the school store, earn credits while earning a paycheck, score articulated credits with Century College, and compete at the district, state, and THEREFORE, I, Kevin Zabel, Mayor of Oakdale, Minnesota, hereby proclaim December 12, 2023 as "Tartan DECA Day" ini the City of Oakdale, in honor of the grand opening of the new DECA School Store at IN WITNESS THEREOF: I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Oakdale to be  opened in 2006; and  management which translates into community leadership; and  interaction with fellow students; and  International level with students from across the world.
