MEETING MINUTES OF KENHORST BOROUGH COUNCIL June 1, 2023 CALLTOORDER - JUNE 1, 2023 BOROUGH COUNCIL BUSINESS MEETING At7:00 p.m. President. J. Smith called the June 1, 2023 meeting of the Kenhorst Borough Council to order with a pledge to the flag and roll-call. Present: Mayor N. Hatzas, R. Weidenheimer (excused), S. Stamm, A. Avilla, P. O'Brien, Jeffrey Smith and T. Mohler. Also in attendance, Cindy Castner, Borough Manager, Jim McCarthy, McCarthy Engineering, and. Jill Nagy, Solicitor. Taking minutes was. J.F Frasso, Secretary/Treasurer The following members of the public were present- -Samantha Vagnoni, 1311 Lacrosse Ave. regarding parking problems during Bronco's games. Council will have signs erected stating No Parking for Sports Attendees. PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL Approval of Minutes - President Smith presented the minutes from the May 4, 2023 Council meeting for approval. Mr. O'Brien made a motion to approve the minutes, with Mr. Stamm offering a second.. Motion passed unanimously. BOROUGH REPORTS Mayor = Mr. Hatzas reported the fines collected in May. Reading Police Department Report - Officer Smith presented the May police call log. Kenhorst VFD Chief Report - Chief Hart reported that there were 44 callsi in May. Finance Report - President Smith presented the treasurer's report/P&L forI May 2023. President Smith made a motion to accept the report, with Mr. Smith offering a second. Motion passed Personnel - Mr. O'Brien made a motion to retain Brian Cole and. Jennifer Frasso on the Borough payroll as transition consultants, with Mr.. Stamm offering a second. Motion passed unanimously. Codes and Emergency Services - No report. unanimously. Property & Buildings Report - No report. Sanitation - No report. Streets - No report. MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY REPORTS Parks/Playground - No report Sanitary Sewers - No report. Stormwater- No report. MSCELANEOUSREPOAES Solicitor's Report - No report 2pm Monday through Friday. Borough Manager's Report - Borough office hours will be changed fort the summer, to 9am - OLD/UNFINISHED BUSINESS The Playground program is fully staffed. Paving of Jackson & Greenway has been tabled due to Reading not contributing to the project.
