Sincerely, Luke Byrne Executive Summary During the month of June, the Ebensburg water treatment plant treated 23,593,000 gallons of reservoir water. This equates to an average of 786,433 gallons per day. This number is down from previous months due to some recent leak repairs ini the distribution system. The table found in plant performance of this packet showcases past month's historical average flows and how the recent water leak repairs have There were two power outages during the month. The outages caused the DAF recycle pump motor VFD to fault. The VFD was able to be reset only causing mild settled turbidity issues. One issue of concern that was noted during the outage was the inability of the lower reservoir VFD to start or stop automatically. This is a relatively new concern that came to light as we have only started using the lower reservoir beginning On. June 13th the director of recreation Dirk Johnson called with some concerns about recent lab results and difficulties maintaining chlorine levels in the public swimming pool. Imet Mr. Johnson at the pool to help trouble shoot the problem. After observing the process, we determined the chlorine feed pump had failed. We also determined some critical components were missing that prevent back siphonage when applying chemicals. Inframark provided a few of the components needed to properly plumb the chemical feed system and installed a spare pump from the WTP. We were able to get the pool back to normal operating conditions within 24 hours. Mr. Johnson ordered a On June 16, 2022, representatives from the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Bureau of Safe Drinking Water conducted a site visit at the Ebensburg WTP to collect a sample to be analyzed for the cyanotoxins in the raw source water. Ihave included information along with this report regarding the bureau of safe drinking water Inframark conducted a hold study on the water that is produced from the Ebensburg water treatment plant. The goal of this study was to determine if the water produced at the Ebensburg Water treatment plant could maintain and meet all the water quality parameters after 10 days of age. We analyzed chlorine, temperature, and pH in-house daily and Fairway labs conducted the disinfection by-product analysis. The results indicate that the water produced at the Ebensburg WTP can meet all water quality On June 23 Inframark's senior technical manager Mr. Dwayne Lowry and I presented a power point presentation to the borough manager and Stiffler McGraw. The presentation provided several options for the authority to consider that could remedy the reoccurring disinfection by-product issues. Ift there are any questions or concerns about these recommendations, we would be happy to have further discussions. decreased the daily demand. We send about 10 pages of data that have been collected by our operators and SCADA system. These reports consist of over 20,000 points of data that are compiled into a report and sent to the state every month called the "Monthly Operating Report" (MOR). This report is a representation of how well the plant is operating during the prior month. Monthly Compliance reporting for. July is being compiled and will be submitted to Samples were collected for annual testing of Inorganic Compounds (IOC's), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's), and Synthetic Organic Compounds (SOC's). All sample results were either non-detects or found to be well below the Every month we are required by state regulations to collect and analyze a minimum of nine bacteriological samples per a state approved sampling site plan. In June, we collected nine samples. Ofthe nine samples zero were found to be total coliform positive. Every month we are also required to monitor chlorine levels in the distribution system. A minimum of one sample per week is required and the sample must be at equal to or greater than 0.20mg/L free chlorine. Four samples were collected in June and all four samples were above the minimum Calibrated online and lab instrumentation to conform to PA DEP requirements.
