Sincerely, Luke Byrne Executive Summary During the month of September, the Ebensburg water treatment plant treated 31,418,000 gallons of reservoir water. This equates to an average of 1,047,267 gallons per day. The table found in plant performance of this packet showcases past month's historical average flows. It should be noted Ebensburg was supplying water to Nanty An average of 94,319 gallons per day was purchased from Saltlick and blended into Ebensburg's distributions system. This number is higher than usual due to Nanty Glo and Jackson township purchasing more water through the month of September. Increased flows through the Ogden tank site provided a great opportunity to gather informational data on the impacts water turn over has on disinfection by-product formation. Inframark collected samples thet first week of September that showcased disinfection by-product formation was reduced to half the maximum contaminant level at SCADA battery backup components have been repaired and tested to prevent the loss Staff has closed the upper reservoir bypass line to supplement the downstream flow requirement of 270,000 gallon per day. Recent weather conditions have supplied On September 6th Inframark notified the publics work director (Josh) of a chemical spill at the Ogden tank pump station. When Inframark staff arrived to collect month samples at Ogden, a strong chlorine odor was present. Sodium hypochlorite appeared to be on the walls and floor. Josh informed me ai few days later that a chemical feedline had Inframark staff completed a visual exterior and interior inspection of the backwash tank located at the WTP facility. The tank was found to be in excellent condition. On September 26, 2022, representatives from the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Bureau of Safe Drinking Water conducted a site visit at the Ebensburg WTP to collect a sample to be analyzed for the cyanotoxins in the raw source water. No The elevated tank at Hillcrest has been drained and work is scheduled to begin there the first week in October. Inframark met with Ebensburg's publics work director to provide a username and explain remote SCADA controls/data. The remote access will be vital to understanding what is happening if power is lost during the tank painting process. During this time, la also informed Josh of a possible leak on the low system. Trending indicated an increase of 30 gallons per minute overnight flows. We send about 10 pages of data that have been collected by our operators and SCADA system. These reports consist of over 20,000 points of data that are compiled into a report and sent to the state every month called the "Monthly Operating Report" (MOR). This report is a representation of how well the plant is operating during the prior month. Monthly Compliance reporting for October is being compiled and will be submitted to PA DEP no later than November 10th 2022. Every month we are required by state regulations to collect and analyze a minimum of nine bacteriological samples per a state approved sampling site plan. In September, we collected nine samples. Of the nine samples zero were found to be total coliform positive. Every month we are also required to monitor chlorine levels in the distribution system. A minimum of one sample per week is required and the sample must be equal to or greater than 0.20mg/L free chlorine. Four samples were collected in September and alli four samples were at or above Second quarter filter evaluation was completed on filter #1.
