A special meeting oft the Ebensburg Borough Council was called to order on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. ini the Council Room of the Ebensburg Municipal Building by President, Doug Tusing.  Present:  Doug Tusing, President Cecilia Houser, Vice President Mike Owatt Jeff] Ball Dave Kuhar Theresa Jacoby Rob Miller Randy Datsko, Mayor Kelly Cook, Borough Manager  Others: Audience: 0  A. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. B. Public Comments - None.  C. Executive Session- Council entered into an executive session to discuss aj personnel matter at 5:04  PM.  D. The meeting was reopened to the public at 5:31 PM  E. New Business  Long-time Chiefof Police, Terry Wyland, has announced his retirement effective. July 1, 2023. Council had recently approved toj publicly advertise the position but had not established the proposed Ms. Jacoby made a motion to establish the annual salary range for the ChiefofPolice at $70,000 to Ms. Jacoby made ai motion toi require the residency oft the new Chiefof Police to be within 15 air miles of the Borough Municipal Building within one year of employment (Owatt).
