The regular monthly meeting of Ellport Borough Council was held the above date in Council Chambers, Ellport Borough Building. Present on was Council President Boy and Council members Takacs, Tomon, Gebhardt and Mazzant. Also present were Mayor Cisco, Solicitor Minett, Secretary Christy and Joe MacDonald. A motion was made by Tomon and seconded Mazzant to accept the minutes of the April 17, 2023 meeting as received. by A roll call vote was taken with all voting yes. Motion General Fund - $360,608. Fuel Fund - $112,151. Memorial Fund - $1921. A motion was made by Takacs and seconded Mazzant to accept the treasurer's report. A roll call vote was taken by A request was received from Dave Hamilton for permission to banners of sponsors of Lil Angels on the fence at Sheeler Field which hang would be removed when the season is over. Council denied the request. Elected tax collector Rita Foley spoke about how she felt she was unfairly accused of pawning off work on the Borough secretary at the April Council meeting and she doesn't think she does. Council advised her she was permitted to set up office hours at the Borough building if unan. TREASURER'S REPORT: passed with all voting yes. Motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS: VISITORS: she does not want them at her residence. answered 62 calls and responded to 7 incidents. MAYOR'S REPORT: MAINTENANCE/STREETS: current contract. McKinney. Mayor Cisco reported that police spent 53 hours on patrol, MacDonald reported that salt has been ordered as required by our Takacs informed Council that a resolution was required for appli- cation for County grant money according to information provided by Amy A motion was made by Takacs and seconded by Gebhardt to authorize Solicitor Minett to prepare a resolution as required and authorizing President Boy and Secretary.
