The regular monthly meeting of Ellport Borough Council was held on the above date in Council Chambers, Ellport Borough Building. Present were President Boy and Council members, Takacs, Mazzant and Tomon. Absent was Gebhardt. Also present were Mayor Cisco, Secretary Christy and Joe MacDonald. A motion was made by Tomon and seconded by Takacs to accept the minutes of the June 19, 2023 regular monthly meeting as re- ceived. A roll call vote was taken with all voting yes. Motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by Tomon and seconded by Mazzant to accept the minutes of the July 10, 2023 special meeting as received. A roll call vote was taken with all voting yes. Motion passed unanimously. General Fund - $426,498. Fuel Fund - $112,186. Memorial - $1,921. A motion was made by Takacs and Seconded by, Mazzant to accept the treasurer's report. A roll call vote was taken with all voting yes. A notice was received from the Lawrence County Department of Planning and Community Development with information on surveying TREASURER'S REPORT: Motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS: MAYOR'S REPORT: MAINTENANCE: was taken. SEWER REPORT: DEP. residual land on subdivision plans. 5 i incidents and 56 calls answered. Mayor Cisco reported that police spent 50 hours on patrol, with An estimated cost of $130,000.00 was given for two storm sewer projects, one at Clydesdale Avenue and one at 2nd. Street. No action Christy reported that an executive session was held on the above date by the Sewer Authority in response to communication received from Tomon reported on the progress of the grant project at Sheeler Action was tabled by Council concerning approval of codification Council set the Borough annual picnic date for October 14, 2023, A motion was made by Takacs and seconded by Tomon to hire the Rick Harper. band for $600.00 to perform at the picnic on October 14, 2023. A roll call vote was taken with all voting yes. Motion passed A motion was made by Mazzant and seconded by Tomon to accept re- ceipts and pay the bills.
