ELLPORT BOROUGH 313 BURNS AVENUE ELLWOOD CITY, PA 16117 TELEPHONE- 724-752-1422 FAX- 724-752-9430 September 18, 2023 7:00 P.M. : The regular monthly. meeting of Ellport Borough Council was held on the above date in Council Chambers, Ellport Borough Building.Present were President Boy and Council members Takacs, Tomon, Gebhardt and Mazzant. Also present were Mayor Cisco, Solicitor Minett, Secretary, Christy and Joe MacDonald. A motion was made by Tomon and seconded by Mazzant to accept the minutes of the August 21, 2023 meeting as re- ceived. A roll call vote was taken with all voting yes. Motion passed General Fund - $425,256. Fuel Fund - $108,325. Memorial - $1921. Christy informed Council that the 2022 audit reports were complete and available for viewing. A motion was made by Gebhardt and seconded by Takacs to accept the treasurer's report. A roll call vote was taken A resident questioned Council about the nuisance house on Martin Avenue and was informed that it is under police jurisdiction. Tom Milnes informed Council about lack of drainage on Dolter Avenue and Council told Joe MacDonald to investigate the problem. Mayor Cisco reported that police spent 49 hours on patrol, had A motion was made by Takacs and seconded by Gebhardt to authorize R.A.R. Engineering to advertise and provide a bid package for storm drain projects in two areas, 2nd Street and Clydesdale Avenue, with Council able to vote on accepting a bid package at the next council meeting, if acceptable. A roll call vote was taken with all voting yes. unanimously. TREASURER'S REPORT: with all voting yes. Motion passed unanimously. VISITORS: MAYOR'S REPORT: 56 calls and reported 6 incidents. MAINTENANCE AND STREET REPORT: Motion passed unanimously. PARKS AND RECREATION: OLD BUSINESS: No action. NEW BUSINESS: SEWER REPORT: Christy reported that the 2022 audit reports were available for viewing and the next meeting will be held September 21, 2023. Tomon reported that she will be meeting with Janine from R.A.R. engineering in eight days to review the playground grant project. A motion was made by Tomon and seconded by Gebhardt to set trick- or-treat night fon October 31 from 5 to 7 PM and to give the WPVFD $300.00 for the purchase of candy to be distributed in the Borough.
