The regular monthly meeting of Ellport Borough Council was held on the above date in Council Chambers, Ellport Borough Building. Present were President Boy and Council members Takacs, Mazzant, Gebhardt and Tomon. Also present were Mayor Cisco, Solicitor Minett, Secretary Christy and Joe MacDonald. A motion was made by Takacs and seconded to accept the minutes of the September 18, 2023 meeting as re- ceived. A roll call vote was taken with all voting yes. Motion passed An executive session of Council was held prior to the regular meeting to consult with the Solicitor regarding two legal matters. General Fund - $405,327. Fuel Fund - $108, 430. Memorial - $1921. A motion was made by Mazzant. and seconded by Takacs to accept the treasurer's report. A roll call vote was taken with all voting yes. Tomon unanimously. by TREASURER'S REPORT: Motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS: One proposal was received for the advertised storm sewer projects from Moser Contracting, for $156,258.61. A motion was made by, Tomon and seconded by Gebhardt to accept the proposal as received. A roll call vote was taken with all voting yes. Motion passed unanimously. A resident complained about the drop-off in front of her house on Jamison Avenue due to recent paving by Youngblood Paving for the gas company. Takacs said he would contact Youngblood about the issue. Mayor Cisco reported that police spent 54 hours on patrol with Council discussed the PA American Water Company's failure to apply and pay for street opening permits in 2023. The water company is to be contacted and billed for all known street openings based on one-calls VISITORS: MAYOR'S REPORT: 48 calls and 5 incidents.
