The regular monthly meeting of the Ellport Borough Council was the above date in Council Chambers, Ellport Borough Building. Present were President Boy and Council members Takacs, Mazzant and Tomon. Absent was Gebhardt. Also present were Mayor Cisco, Solicitor Minett, Secretary Christy and Joe MacDonald. A motion was made Takacs and seconded by Mazzant to accept the minutes of the November by, 2023 Council meeting as received. A roll call vote was taken with all 20,  on  held  voting yes. Motion passed unanimously.  TREASURER'S REPORT:  General Fund - $410,140. Fuel Fund - $108,639. Memorial Fund - $1,921. A motion was made by. Tomon and seconded by Takacs to accept the treasurer's report. A roll call vote was taken with all voting yes.  Motion passed unanimously.  VISITORS: None MAYOR'S REPORT:  Mayor Cisco reported that police spent 51 hours on patrol, answered  57 calls and reported 4 incidents. MAINTENANCE and STREETS: No report SEWER REPORT: PARKS and RECREATION:  Monthly meeting will be 12/21/23 at 12:00 P.M.  A motion was made by Takacs and seconded by. Mazzant to keep the Community Center, Rodgers Park, and helters/ballfield rental same in 2024 as 2023. A roll call vote was take with all  rates the voting yes.  Motion passed unanimously.  OLD BUSINESS:  A motion was made by Takacs and seconded by Mazzant to adopt the 2024 Budget as advertised, with Borough maintenance supervisor at $28.00/hour, Secretary/Treasurer: wages at $17,496.00/year, wages total revenue budgeted at $295,220, carryover of $300,000, for a total available in the General Fund of $595,220 and Expenditures of A roll call vote was taken with all voting yes. Motion passed unan. $594,946. A motion was made by Mazzant and seconded by Tomon to Resolution 02 of 2023, fixing the 2024 real estate tax on real adopt in the Borough at four (4) mills on each dollar of valuation property to the most recent tax assessment. NEW BUSINESS:  A motion was made by Takacs and seconded by Tomon to adopt Resolution 03 of 2023, accepting and appointing Ellwood City officers as policemen of Ellport Borough.
