The regular monthly meeting of Ellport Borough Council was held on the above date in Council Chambers, Ellport Borough Building. Present were President Boy and Council members Mazzant and Borroni. Absent was Gebhardt. Also present were Mayor Cisco, Solicitor Minett, Secretary Christy and employee MacDonald. A motion was made by Mazzant and seconded by. Boy to accept the minutes of the January 2, 2024 ization meeting as received. Voting yes were Mazzant and Boy, Voting reorgan- no was Borrini. Motion passed 2 to 1. TREASURER'S REPORT: General Fund - $371,663. Fuel Fund - $108,612. Memorial Fund - $1909.30. A motion was made by Mazzant and seconded by Borroni to ac- cept the treasurer's report. A roll call vote was taken with all voting An Order Of Court was receivedfrom the Court of Common Pleas, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, stating that the Prothonotary shall disburse monies held in the First National Bank Public Funds Money Market Account due to an aerial easement under the "First Bridge" over the Connoquenessing Creek, evenly between Ellport Borough and Perry yes. Motion passed unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS: Township. VISITORS: MAYOR'S REPORT: incidents. MAINTENANCE AND STREETS: No action reported. SEWER REPORT: 12:00 P.M. PARKS AND RECREATION: No report. OLD BUSINESS: Appearances were made by Rita Foley and Joshua Lamancusa, Lawrence County District Attorney. Mayor Cisco spoke about his duties as Borough Mayor. He reported that police spent 48 hours on patrol, answered 54 calls, and had nine Christy reported that the January meeting will be on the 18th at A motion was made by Mazzant and seconded by Boy to re-appoint Wayne Parsons as Code Enforcement Officer and Justin Neupauer as his assistant. A roll call vote was taken with Boy and Mazzant voting yes No appointments were made to the Zoning Hearing Board or Planning Two letters of request were received to fill the vacancy in Council resulting from the resignation of Patricia Tomon. One from Jacquelyn Bowman and one from Timothy Takacs. A motion was made by Mazzant and seconded by Boy to appoint Jacquelyn Bowman to the vacancy, a two year and Mazzant voting yes and Borroni voting no. The Resolution to appoint Boy. and Borroni voting no. Motion passed. Commission. term which ends January Jacquelyn Bowman was adopted. 2026. A roll call vote was taken with January 15, 2024 cont. NEW BUSINESS: lack of a second. proposed projects. A motion was made by Borroni to allow ten minutes instead of three to each person wishing to speak at a Council meeting.
