Our DCED team will be working with Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce to organize an Next week the Mayor, Pastor Phil Davis, myself and a few other community members will be going to Harrisburg for training on the Blueprint Communities grant we received for Southside. Mrs. Rose, Chairperson of Planning and Codes: Last week attended Zoning meeting and wants to remind everyone the monthly planning meeting is scheduled for next Wednesday, May Dr. Ruggles, Chairperson of Public Safety: we are in the process of setting up training for LiDAR. Training is limited, they will come here from Orlando. When they do training, they bring our equipment SO we will be trained in our equipment. We are hoping to be operational by Mr. Pintabone thanked Dr. Ruggles for his work securing the grant for the LiDAR. April24,2024  We got our LERTA approval, which was a big victory for the city, we also got a 4-million-dollar  grant for Nurture Nature.  We will also be filling two (2) vacancies in the code office.  Reminder of the Mayor's Summer Youth Camp coming up the week ofJuly 22. The camp is open to students grades 9-12. It'sa good opportunity to get immersed in local government. Each Ferry Street demolition will start at the end oft this week or beginning ofr next week. The Vice-Presidential debate will take place at Lafayette College in September. Our police department is working very closely with security staffi in the presidential debate committee. Last night the mayor presented ai resolution basically getting tired of being asked in public what isg going on with Mrs. Sultana. City council cannot remove a member. Mrs. Rose brought a good suggestion ofa code of conduct for the city. April24,2024  PUBLIC COMMENT- Ona any matter: related to City of Easton  Mr. Ravitz, 144 Church Street, who is Mr. Lehn or Lehn's Court? No one seemed tol know Melody Rogers., 710 W. Berwick Street Mrs. Rogers, President of Southside Civic Association Held their Southside clean up with volunteers. Mrs. Rogers went back to the park later and trash all over again. She spoke to the kids about keeping the area they play in clean. She drove by The park is in need of benches. There is no place for parents to sit while taking their kids to the park. Mayor states the benches were removed due to vagrants. Mrs. Rogers asked for the benches tol be brought back again. Mrs. Rogers also asked for the backboard at the basketball court to be Mr. Brown states when he was at the park, he noticed is Mrs. Rogers has the respect of the neighborhood. He stated the kids respond to Mrs. Rogers when she speaks to them. Mrs. Rogers also stated there could be approximately 50 kids in the park and they do not leave at dusk. Neighbors are complaining. No signs posted stating the park closes at dusk. Can we have signs placed at Pioneer and Centennial Parks. Also, the gates need to be locked sO the kids  who Lehn's Court was named after.  again and the park was cleaned up.  replaced along with the square.  cannot get back to the park. Mrs. Hitzel asked if Iron Street is a State Road? Mayor replied it is not a state road. Mrs. Hitzel advised there have been four (4) accidents in less than a month. She would like some kind of sign for cars to slow down. She has a video showing how fast the vehicles are speeding. There is Richard Groff, 425 S. 215t Street.
