Council President McKelvey replies itis on the demolition list. Mr. Krajewski questions if 116 Maple Ave is on that list also. President McKelvey responds yes. Mr. Krajewskiquestions when willi it be done because there is alll kinds ofgarbage and trash all over the place over there and now there are: skunks in town overt there. President McKelvey states we have to hold al hearing in Nov. Atty. Gobel comments there are 6 properties on the demolition Mr. Dan Krajewski comments the sign on Bettis Road is posted on the wrong side oft the road; it's posted for cars going up Bettis and the ones speeding are going down the hill. PWF Sikora explains why iti is on that side; there is nothing on the road going down Bettis to puti it on. We would have to install a pole and there are too many utilities on that side of the road. Mr. Snodgrass comments we did talk with West Mifflin about that. Mr. Krajewski comments again that the speeders are going down Bettis, not coming Ms. Dorothy Best comments there are skunks in town; they are digging in her front yard. They are going after the garbage across the road thati is thrown all over the place from the grey house andi is blowing over Ms. Best comments the vines next to the abandoned house are growing all down over the property. Mrs. Jean Palcsey comments on the speeding on Fifth Street from those dirt bikes. It is awful; no one Ms. Patty" Toth comments they go all over the place, Fifth and Hickory Alley. One day there is going to be a major crash. They never stop at the stop signs; they justz zip through them. President McKelvey informs him that we have heard Ms. Ann Toth comments she still has her jungle growing up the side of her house. President McKelvey states they were cited but it may take 2 months to get a hearing. She says she has been waiting over 3 years. President McKelvey informs her she has the right to cut it down. Mayor Mayor McKelvey reports there were 70 police calls for the month of September and 2 arrests. Mayor McKelvey is not sure how many calls the fire dept. has had but the alarm is always going off. Mayor McKelvey comments everything else is ok. Solicitor Atty. Gobel comments he has received all the demolition inspection reports. Mr. Volpe is needed fori the hearings. We have them scheduled for Nov. 15th. If for some reason he isn't available, we will have to Atty. Gobel reports on the sale of the Rogers property on Lebanon Church Road; the County listed the Atty. Engineer Ms. Branthoover states she gave her report during Caucus. 1) PAWC has the list of opening to repair. They are still not applying for permits and paying the fees. Council needs to decide on what we want to do as far as thet fees. They are proposing the fee be $150 for 1+25 sq. ft plus a $100 inspection fee and we need to set a maximum amount. If they don'tnotify us, we can take them to the Magistrate. 2) The design work for the Maple Avenue project is complete and Council needs to make a motion to advertise for bids. 3) The GTRP grant application for the Ballfield was approved for $120,000. Council will need to make a motion to advertise for bids. After a discussion, it was decided to include all the items and list them separately sO if we do not have enough money to do the whole project, we can pick and choose what to get done. This way, we are covering all bases. An LSA Grant application was also submitted for this project. 4) Submitted an LSA Grant fora a new dump truck for street dept. We should hear something in November. 5) GEDTF applications were submitted. 6) There is a small water and sewer grant if we would like to apply for something. 7) There was only 1 bid for asbestos removal at 210-24 4thSt. Sentoon/Gonts/Planted Property Mr. Dzuro has nothing to report at this time. 2 Public Safety/Workers Comp/Fire President McKelvey has nothing at this time. els/Rereten/Orinange Mr. Palcsey makes the motion authorizing the engineer to advertise for bids for the ballfield, itemizing each item SO we can pick and choose and decide what will get done.
