DUBOISTOWN BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING THURSDAY April 6, 2023 6:00PM MEETING MINUTES The general council meeting was held in person at Borough Meeting Room and Present were Dori Rankinen, Michael Rodgers, Norman J Cowden, Shawn Millard, Hary Rogers, John McCormick, Jeff Kreger, Ann Marie Baker Borough Manager, Mayor Richard Knecht, Marc Drier Absent: Kate Weaver Public Comment Period 1: Rich Boyles - lives at 2849 Euclid Ave and has a rental property on Spring Street. Rich wanted to know who was paying for the rental inspections that he received a letter on and feels that he as a landlord is being singled out and wanted to know if the borough was going toi inspect everyone the same. Council person John McCormick and Michael Rodgers explained the process and the reason for the rental inspections and explained that property maintenance is being enforced on all properties but only inspections in the homes were being done with the rental inspections. Fire Department report 19 rescue 59 EMS 19 people running calls, Response times are 5 Council person Norman Cowden asked what the wateri issue was on Cochran Ave. Fire Chief explained that there is not really a water problem that just the pipes are smaller on that street and therefore the boxcards have tankers on when there are calls on Cochran. There was not ani issue with water being the reason thet two houses were lost due to fire. Chiefs are working together always in the county to make sure that min for Emergency Calls and 3 minutes on Ambulance calls. boxcards are updated. DUBOISTOWN BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING THURSDAY April 6, 2023 6:00 PM The Fire Chief presented the Council with reports that they requested af the meeting in March. Information on three options for purchase of E-One Pumper Tanker Truck was given. The final cost of delivery for the Tanker is $825,000. The other report given was the Expenses report for 2022 with a total of $62,258.19. This is operational cost that was for 2022. Ambulance operational cost was given on separate report af $88,750.18. Discussion on ordinance and history was conducted. Shawn Millard advised per the borough code book it does state that the Mayor can enforce the ordinance. The Mayorv was going to do additional research and the council will decide whoi is going to enforce the cat issue once they determine what can be done.
