Complaint of Water Leak at 419 High Street-blockage was addressed by the owner on or about January9, 2018. A blockage was found ini the lateral, where it drops under the wall, by "Drain Doctor" Additional data was given to Trudy Koppenhaver to invoice the owner to address the icing on High Street during this DCED-received HUD's approval for $50,000 of the grant for the ADA project. Written notice of the award should be received soon. A copy of the request is at the Borough Office. 147 PP&L Lights-Keith Heigel reported Dauphin Borough has (74) seventy-four high pressure sodium street lights that are owned by PPL. 69 (Sixty-Nine) oft those street lights are over ten years old and can be replaced by PPL free of charge. Five of the street lights are under ten years old and will cost a one-time fee of $881.001 to replace all five lights. At1 the current electric rates the Borough would save approximately $31/a month or $372/per year by replacing the existing lights with LED lights. (See Engineers' report for more detailed information). Councilman Harner questioned if the Borough could replace only the lights Stoney Creek Road Project-a motion was made by Councilman Wynn and second by Councilman Harner to allow Light-Heigel to proceed with the bid document. Old School Basement Drain-on hold due to the weather conditions. Quote to Repair Manhole 120- this project was placed on hold until the determination for the Small Water Water on Hillside Road-water continues to run on Hillside Road from the Water Company and Stone properties. Suez Water sampled the water and claims the water leak is not coming from their water tank on Hillside. Council Vice-President Windish stated there is at trench on Suez's property. Windish suggested calling Suez and inquire on the cleaning on the trench. Troy Toland will sample the water for chlorine and Tradesman-Lot 41 Tall Trees-have installed the guard rails. Council is requesting Light-Heigel to inspect the guard rails and the swale that is on the property. Councilman Wynn is requesting a copy ofTradesman deed be reviewed by Light-Heigel for1 the guard rail language. Trudy Koppenhaver questioned the sewer billing for Lot 41. Michael Cassidy stated Tradesman should not be billed until the Certificate of Occupancy Right-to Know-Mike Cassidy stated the Borough cannot charge for labor involved in the inquiry. We can charge $0.25 per page if copies are requested. This information should be added to our fee schedule. Mayor's Report The mayor reported he had four compliments on the snow plowing. The van on the 200 hundred block of Erie Street was removed. The mayor is addressing complaints ofr residents walking their dogs on public ground without leashes. Treasurer's Report Due to the absence oft the Treasurer, the approval of the report was tabled until the March meeting.
