CLARKS SUMMIT BOROUGH COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 2020-04  A RESOLUTION ALLOWING RETROACTIVE COST OF LIVING INCREASE IN POLICE PENSION TO THE BENEFIT OF LOUIS VITALE, ON BEHALF OF THE BOROUGH OF CLARKS SUMMIT, COUNTY OF  LACKAWANNA, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA  WHEREAS, The Clarks Summit Borough Council has ordained that a Cost of Living Adjustment may be provided to a participant in the Clarks Summit Pension  Plan; and  WHEREAS, LOUIS VITALE has been a member of the Clarks Summit WHEREAS, LOUIS VITALE has been receiving benefits under above plan; WHEREAS, according to Clarks Summit Borough Ordinance 2007-02, such increment shall not exceed the percentage increase in the "All Items WHEREAS, the percentage increase in the "All Items Index" oft the Consumer NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that LOUIS VITALE is hereby offered a cost ofliving increase of2% retroactively effective January 1, 2020. Section 1. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon Section 2. This Resolution is enacted by the Borough of Clarks Summit under the authority of the Act of Legislature, February 1, 1966, P.L. (1965) No. 581 $1005, as amended 1979, November 2, P.L. 458 No. 94, 53 P.S. $46005, et seq., known as the Borough Code and any other applicable law arising under the laws oft the  Pension Plan; and  and  Index" ofthe Consumer Price Index as of year end; and Price Index for December 31, 2019 was 2.3%;  passage.
