RESOLUTION NO. 2021-02 BOROUGH OF CLARKS SUMMIT  AR RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF CLARKS SUMMIT DESIGNATING COMMONWEALTH HEALTH EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ASTHE PREFERRED PROVIDER OF ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT WHEREAS, the Borough ofClarks Summit (the "Borough") is a duly organized and existing municipality and political subdivision located in the County of Lackawanna, Commonwealth of] Pennsylvania with offices located at 304 South State Street, Clarks Summit,  Pennsylvania 18411; and  WHEREAS, the Borough is subject to the Pennsylvania Borough Code, as found at  8Pa.C.S.A. $101, et seq- (the "Borough Code"); and emergency medical services toi its residents; and provided the Borough valuable medical services; and  WHEREAS, the Borough is authorized pursuant to 81 Pa.C.S.A $1202(56) to provide for WHEREAS, Commonwealth Health Emergency Medical Services has previously WHEREAS, the Borough desires to ensure the best area coverage and it is in the best interest oft the safety of the residents oft the Borough to have Commonwealth Health Emergency Medical Services as the designated emergency provider of Advanced Life Support; THEREFORE, BE ITI RESOLVED by the Council of the Borough of  Clarks Summit, County ofLackawanna and Commonwealth of] Pennsylvania, that the Advanced  Life Support for Clarks Summit Borough is as follows:  To the extent possible, and permitted by law, ifCommonwealth Health Emergency Medical Services has Advanced Life Support within the Borough of Clarks Summit  coverage area, that service is the preferred ambulance dispatched.
