RESOLUTION NO. 2021-14 BOROUGH OF CLARKS SUMMIT  ARESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF CLARKS SUMMIT TO REQUEST APPROVAL OF PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE RETIMING OF TRAFFICE SIGNAL AT INTERSECTION OF STATE ROUTES 6 AND 11 AND GROVE STREET WHEREAS, the Borough of Clarks Summit (the Borough") is a Borough and Municipality in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania organized and governed according to the  Borough Code; and  WHEREAS, the Borough Code authorizes Borough Council to regulate, among other things, the streets (Section 1202(12); the towing of vehicles, (Section 1202(34)); and the general regulation of nuisances and protections for the health, safety and welfare of the public (Sections  1202(4) and 1202(5))(See 531 P.S. 88 46202(4), (5),(12) and (34)); and Code at 531 P.S. S 46201 to act for the benefit oft the public welfare; and  WHEREAS, the Borough Council has been granted broad powers under the Borough WHEREAS, ai request has been made to re-time the traffic signal located at the intersection of State Route 6/State Route 11 and Grove Street in order toj promote the efficient  flow of vehicular traffic in the Borough.  RESOLVED by the Council of the Borough of Clarks Summit, as follows: Section 1. The Borough Manager is authorized to complete and submit the Application for Traffic Signal Approval (TE-160) required by the Pennsylvania Department ofTransportation for the retiming oft the traffic signal located at the intersection of State Route 6/State Route 11 and Grove Street in the Borough. (TE- 160: form is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference).
