Reminder of the Budget Meeting on October 20th at 6PM KARPIAK: Public Works Report Councilman Karpiak stated two Street Department workers were sent to Salt Lakei for three days to pave as part of the G13 Summit. He added they helped us pave and now we helped Councilman Karpiak announced on November 14h we will be equipped with LEDI Lights in the City of Connellsville. He added this should save a substantial amount of money for the City of Connellsville. Karpiak thanked West Penn Power for their help ont the project. Councilman Karpiak asked that everyone get out and vote in November. them. TZAN: Absent Mayor Lincoln stated October 1st, was the Tangled Up in Brew Event which is the last fundraiser of the year for the Parks and Recreation Board. He stated $9,400 was raised for the Parks and Recreation Board. Mayor Lincoln thanked the Street Department for cleaning the park and having them set up and ready for the event. He thanked all the sponsors of the event and announced the hotel will be open for next year's event. MCINTIRE: Health/Code Officer Report New Haven Hose Report Tom Currey announced it is burning season and you may burn Monday through Friday from 1F PM until 9 PM and Saturday 9. AM until 9 PM and no burning on Sunday. He added it must be monitored and contained. Currey further added it is encouraged to recycle rather than burn. He added twigs and branches can go to Superior Mulch fori free and leaf pick up is done in the City. Councilman Mcintire asked residents to pick up after themselves, especially on Baldwin Avenue. Councilman Karpiak asked residents to check the City's website for days and times the leaves Mayor Lincoln reminded flood residents that all applications for the buyout program are due November 1st for everyone. He announced the Flood Relief Committee has started releasing money from the fund. Mayor Lincoln added the fund is up to $600,000 and we are hoping for $250,000 from the State. He asked that all residents call the Flood Center and speak with a Mayor Lincoln thanked someone who wants to remain anonymous for donating firewood to families affected by the flood. He also thanks Pastor Matt and his church for donating appliances, heating oil and tanks. Lincoln thanked Columbia Gas for replacing hot water tanks and furnaces.
