See attached detailed Project Update Log. Updates for the month are noted in red font. ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE: Grant Projects (Grant Log Attached): Shelter 1 at Chartiers Park. Currently working on a grant application seeking DCNR funding to replace Assisted the Bridgeville VFD by preparing a FEMA AFG application that seeks $210,071 to replace their SCBA equipment. The Borough has been awarded 17 mature trees for Cook School Park from Tree Pittsburgh that will be planted on Saturday, March 30th. DEP Recycling Equipment Project has been completed and grant close out reports have been completed, seeking reimbursement of $229,250. The Safety Committee met on February 15th; completed the safety inspection of the fire station. Noi incidents for the month to report. The committee also discussed Employee Wellness Program activities and held an employee wellness Insurance Company completed the annual inspection of Borough properties and operations on February 22nd. Several minor recommendations have been received and will be discussed with the Safety Committee. 2024 Borough Guide completed and in the process of finalizing the final draft to go to 2023 Borough. Audit is underway, coordinating the process with the Auditor. 2024 Liquid Fuels allocation was received from the state on March 1 in the amount of $137,445; the funds are budgeted to offset the road paving program. 2023 Recycling Report completed and submitted to the County. CODE ENFORCEMENTI IZONING/PLANNING: Detailed Zoning /Code Enforcement report attached summarizing complaints, permits Kalkeruth Roofing & Sheet Metal - coordinated the application with the Engineer, County, Planning Commission and applicant. The County did not have any revisions or comments to the plan. The Planning Commission approved the plan, with conditions recommended by the Borough Engineer and iti is on the March Council agenda for and affairs. Attended the February 26th Planning Commission Meeting. consideration. Comprehensive Plan: The Planning Commission has recommended to the Borough Council that a Public Hearing be scheduled so that the plan can be considered for adoption. Downtown Zoning Amendment RFP. - RFP has been advertised, proposals due May gth. PUBLIC WORKS: The Werner Avenue Landslide Project is under construction and progressing. The wall is almost complete, and work willl be starting next on the new storm sewers. 2024 Road Paving Program has been advertised and includes the Cook School Basketball Court area paving. The bid opening is scheduled for April 2nd. PENNDOT has approved our requested plan to improve the intersection of Prestley I Perrett/Charlet Streets. They will paint the white line on Prestley, the Borough would be obligated to paint the hashes and what's proposed on Charlet Street. PENNDOT is asking that delineator posts not be installed until we see ift the painting improves the McLaughlin Run Road storm sewer improvements, received the top easement necessary Rock Salt Contract - fuel escalator pricing resulted in a per ton decrease of $.53/ton. The process of replacing the four (4) remaining lights will occur over the next 6 to 8 months. 4) The two new cameras on Railroad Street will be installed upon the final completion of the installation of the metal pole.
