BLAIRSVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL REORGANIZATION MEETING MINUTES  JANUARY 2, 2024  1. The meeting was called to order at 5:30 P. M.  2. Moment of Silence 3. Pledge to the Flag  4. Roll Call - The Council Members present included Mr. John Bertolino, Mr. Albert Dettorre, Mr. David Janusek, Ms. Kaitlyn Sagely, and Mr. Robert Startari. Mr. Jeffrey Marshall, Mayor Ronald Evanko, and Chief Sacco were not present. Others in attendance included Mr. Patrick Dougherty, Solicitor, Mr. Kevin Wilmot, Engineer, Mrs. Jody Poorbaugh, Manager/ecretary, and Mr. David Fairman, 5. Amotion was made by Mr. Dettorre and seconded by Ms. Sagely to authorize Mr. John Bertolino to run the meeting in the absence of the mayor. Approved 5/0.  Public Works Manager.  6. Public Comments - None  7. Swearing in of New Council Members - Mr. John Bertolino, Mr. David Janusek, 8. Nomination and election of Council President = A motion was made by Ms. Sagely and seconded by Mr. Dettorre to nominate and elect Mr. John Bertolino  Mr. Albert Dettorre were sworn in.  as President. Nomination and Election of Vice-President = Amotion was made by Mr. Bertolino and seconded by Ms. Sagely to nominate and elect Mr. Albert Dettorre as Vice-  President.. Approved 5/0. Roll Call Vote:  Yes Mr. Bertolino Ms. Sagely Mr. Dettorre Mr. Janusek Mr. Startari  No  10.Nomination and Election of President Pro-Tempore - A motion was made by Mr. Bertolino and seconded by Mr. Startari to nominate and elect Mr. David Janusek  as President Pro-Tempore. Approved 4/0/1.  Roll Call Vote:  Yes Mr. Bertolino Ms. Sagely Mr. Startari Mr. Dettorre  No  Abstained Mr. Janusek  11.The meeting was turned over to the 2024 President John Bertolino. 12.Appointment of Borough Solicitor - A motion was made by Mr. Dettorre and seconded by Mr. Startari to reappoint Mr. Patrick Dougherty as the Borough  Solicitor. Approved 5/0. Approved 5/0.  Roll Call Vote:  Yes Mr. Dettorre Mr. Startari Mr. Janusek Ms. Sagely Mr. Bertolino  No  14.Amotion was made by Ms. Sagely and seconded by Mr. Dettorre to retain Mr. David Fairman as the Public Works Manager and Zoning Officer. Approved 5/0. Approved 5/0,  Roll Call Vote:  Yes Ms. Sagely Mr. Startari Mr. Dettorre Mr. Janusek Mr. Bertolino  No  18.Amotion was made by Ms. Sagely and seconded by Mr. Janusek to retain Rennie & Associates as the 2024 Borough Auditor. Approved 5/0.  Roll Call Vote:  Yes Ms. Sagely Mr. Startari Mr. Dettorre Mr. Janusek Mr. Bertolino  No  19.Amotion was made by Ms. Sagely and seconded by Mr. Startari to hold the 2024 Council meetings on the Third Tuesday of every month at 5:30 P.M. Approved 5/0.
