Code Enforcement Committee: Mrs. Caldarelli reported that rental inspections and commercial fire inspections are continuing. She stated that this year Code Enforcement has sent out 356 Ordinance 2. Public Safety: Mr. Flannery reported that he met with thel Police Chief, they are working out a retirement strategy for thel K9. He also reported that they are trying to cover upcoming events and staffing issues with part time officers. Mr. Flannery lastlys stated that the monthly Police report is more detailed and that the Chief will be working onj performance reviews with staff. Violation notices and! 3071 havel been abated to-date. 4 Regarding thel Firel Department, he stated that thel Department is working on attaining three FEMA Mr. Mikulich questioned the Manager ift thel Road Crew is ready for coming snows. The Manager stated that currently two trucks are set upi for snow removal, one is out for repairs and the fourth truck is currently set up: for leaf collection. Mr. Mikulich also stated that Christmas Tree Recycling is 4. Parks: Mrs. Miller reported that construction oft the newi playground improvements are underway and 5. Engineer's Report: Engineer Suehr reported that ther new picnic shelter at gth Street Park is complete, the new play equipment is to arrive within the week, and hei isi meeting with the fencing contractor for thel basketball courts atl Panek Park tomorrow and is1 hoping tol have thej projects wrapped up within the Thel Borough Engineer also informed Council that he reviewed as site plan for the proposed Harmony Storage Development on New Economy Drive. Hes stated that he provided his comments back to the applicant and that thel Planning Commission is scheduled to meet on November 26" to review the application. Lastly, he reported that the Manager requested him to start preparing the necessary plans and specifications toj putt the Merchant Street and Parking Lot Paving Projects out tol bid by early January/ February 2019. Mr. Mikulich commented that paving willl be anticipated to be underway as Motion to accept the Officiall Reports; motion was made by Mr. McCoy, seconded by Mrs. grants for new air packs. 3. Public Works: scheduled from December 26h through February 1*:. that thel Engineer will report on those activities. next week or SO. soon as the streetscape project is completed. Avenue where ai motorist ran: into and under the trailers parked on thei road by Creekside Springs Water Company. He stated that the parking of those trailers is very dangerous. ChiefGottschalk stated that they were toj put reflectors on those trailers, Mrs. Caldarelli stated that there is a need for morel lighting in front oft thel Borough Building. Mayor Drewnowski stated that the Police Chiefhas been working on Uniform Crime Reporting and int the past three months, crime is down over: 50%, comparing the crime to the same three months in 2017. He stated the Chief attributes this reduction to either two things, 1) crime is actually going down, or 2) the way officers are now: reporting crimes and whct crimes are actually reportable offences and that not every police call or disturbance is a reportable crime. Thel Mayor stated that the Chiefis working hard on correcting and Ms. Stephanie Manos, Ambridge Regional Chamber of Commerce Executive Director informed Council that there are seven ribbon cuttings this month: for new businesses within the community.
