CALL TOORDIR/ROILCALL Deputy Mayor Blossom called the City Council meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. in Council Chambers. Deputy Mayor Blossom, Mayor Medina, and Councilmembers Deets, Nassar, Peltier, Schneider and Tirman 2. AGENDAAPPROVAL OR MODIFICATION/CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURE Councimember Peltier requested the addition ofa discussion oft the Open Water Marina under New Business. Mayor Medina requested the addition ofa Proclamation for National Police Week. Councilmember Peltier moved and Mayor Medina seconded to approve the agenda, as amended. The motion carried unanimously, 7-0. There were no conflict ofinterest disclosures. were present. 3. PRESENTATIONG) A. Proclamation Declaring the' Week of March 13-19, 2018 as National Police Week [Added] 7:05 PM Mayor Medina read the proclamation for National Police Week and presented it to Deputy Chief Hor. 4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS A. Visconsi Sound to Olympics Trail Segment, AB 18-088 - Public Works 7:07 PM Public Works Director Loveless introduced the agenda item. Public Works Director Loveless and Engineering Manager Hammer addressed Council's questions. MOTION: lwould like to move that the City Council direct the Mayor, City Manager, and Deputy Mayor to set up a time when the Park District officials can attend a Study Session to discuss this further. There was consensus to invite the Chair oft the Park District's Board to a Study Session. Peltier/Deets: The motion carried unanimously, 7-0. MOTION: lwould like to move that in the interim, while we are getting that Study Session set up, City staff is authorized to move forward with building a gravel version of this trail as Chris [Hammer] suggested. 1 And what I mean by that, is further design work, move that along, get to the point where you are ready to move earth, but we are not moving dirt until we have actually had a conversation with Parks.
