Jake Ayers called the Regular Meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present were Council Member Michael Taylor, Jr., Council Member Matthew Morgan, Council Member Mandy Neese, Council Member Mark Ayers, and Council Member Kandis Strickland. Also present were City Manager Lisa Kelly, City Attorney Alex Council Member Taylor gave an invocation and Mayor Ayers led the Pledge of Allegiance. Dixon, Police ChiefJ Jeff Sheppard, and City Clerk LeAnn Lehigh. CONSENT AGENDA Council Member Neese. Motion Carries 5-0 CITIZEN APPEARANCE Motion: Council Member Ayers moved to approve the Consent Agenda. The motion was seconded by 1. Willie Cameron to. Discuss Cameras at Lofton Park and Ditch Cleanout on Poplar Street Mr. Willie Cameron of] Poplar Street addressed the Council asking for cameras to be placed at Lofton Park due to worries of vandalism. He also said the trash can is missing from the pavilion at Lofton Park as well and needs to be replaced. He is also requesting that the kudzu on1 the guidewire around Elm Street be cleaned up and that the ditch on Poplar Street is clogged with leaves. 1. Employee Service. Award -A Sgt. James Vincent, IV- 51 Years Police ChiefJeff Sheppard presented Sgt. Vincent with his 5 Years of Service Award. PRESENTATION NEW BUSINESS 1. Royal Theater - AVIT Audio/Visual Equipment & Labor Motion: A motion was made by Council Member Neese to approve the contract with AVIT for the A/V at the Royal Theater ini the amount of $400,639.29 to be funded by SPLOST 2019, City Equipment.
