August 15, 2024: for 14,647 linear feet ofs sidewalk construction along Boyd Road and Elm, Boozer, Pine, Holmes, Hightower and W. Main Streets. The project would bei funded through the federal Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) administered by GDOT. Our estimated project cost is $2,419,410. The TAP program would fund $1,935,528 (80% ofj project cost) and the City's local match would be $483,882 (20% of project cost). $186,100 ofthe City match could come from funds already paid by a developer fori future sidewalks. That would make the City grant match Boozer and Holmes Streets would also be rebuilt via full depth reclamation. $297,786. BUDGETING & FINANCIAL IMPACT (Includes project costs and: funding sources) $297,786 would be needed from City funds to match a $1,935,535 TAP grant. If possible, Iwould like to request a 3 month advance to help thingst flow flawlessly if approved and iff funds are normally paid out monthly. Iwould have kickoff Iwilll hold a 2 week day camp from. July 15-July 26, kids will win gift cards and other prizes along with field trips before Iwill partner with local colleges, police departments again this year. We willl hold classes up to 20-25 kids per class, Special guest speakers will participate including local officials. Iwill continue to hold Weekend events during school year registration for up to! 501 kids on Saturday. July: 13. school starts. and school holidays.
