APPROVAL OF MEETINGAGENDA Council Member Yeoman made a motion to approve the meeting agenda moving Consent Agenda Item #2, Item #10, and #121 to New Business and removing the Gipson Company Report. City Manager Monthly Update City Manager Chris Eldridge provided an update on all departments throughout the City and Detailed the challenges Legacy North Apartments is facing with their attempt to: rebuild the building that burned down. Director of Code Enforcement Lizzie Humphries talked about a nuisance abatement on Ridgeway Drive and thanked the Public Works Department for getting the property cleaned up. VIII. Presentation with al Resolution to Adopt the Revision to the Peachtree Creek Greenway Greta deMayor, PATH Foundation, explained that the purpose oft the Peachtree Creek Greenway ist to enhance mobility for all users and connect the Doraville community to transit, local destinations, and Council Member Cohen Morris made a motion to approve the Resolution to Adopt the Revision to the Peachtree Creek Greenway Feasibility Study. Public Works Upcoming Projects Director of Public Works Chris LaFleur explained that the purpose oft this item is to provide an update on upcoming projects in the Public Works Department. Ofthe presented projects, Director) LaFleur also asked for approval to move forward with the 2 crack sealing and striping projects. This will include crack sealing on New Peachtree Road, OakcliffRoad, McElroy Road, as well as thermoplastic striping on each with the addition of striping on Chestnut Drive. Director LaFleur stated that he requested quotes from several contractors and have received an acceptable quote from Big Apple Services. Council Member Cohen Morris made ai motion to approve. Resolution to procure digital signs for the City of Doraville with. ARPAfunds Council Member Yeoman asked why the procurement process wasn't followed. City Manager Eldridge stated that they asked vendors for designs first and some companies did not submit their design ideas because this was something that vendors completed without being compensated. Council Member Alexander made ar motion to approve the Resolution to procure digital signs for the City ofDoraville with ARPA funds. Council Member Cohen Morris. Elementary School Speed Zone GDOT to get the school speed zone at Doraville United. Council Member Yeoman stated that there were no supporting documents with this item. City Manager Eldridge stated that he will get something to Council about the efforts being made with Council Member Cohen Morris made a motion to approve the Doraville United Elementary School Speed Zone. Council Member Henshaw seconded the motion. The motion carried by AYES/ YES: Evans, Yeoman, Cohen Morris, Alexander, Henshaw and Koontz unanimous vote (6-0). NAYS/NO: ABSTAIN: - 4.APRA Funds Allocation Council Member Cohen Morris asked that $25,000 dollars of ARPA funds be allocated to Prospero for small and minority business assistance. Council Member Yeoman questioned the retention bonus for the Police Department after they just got a raise. Council Member Yeoman stated that he feels like we should do a salary study to determine if employees are being fairly Council Member Cohen Morris made a motion approve the APRA Funds Allocation adding $25,000 to Prospero. Council Member Evans seconded the motion. The motion carried by vote compensated instead of giving a universal retention bonus. COUNCIL COMMENTS Council Member Alexander reminded everyone about Georgia Cities Week next week. Council Member Cohen Morris is happy to see the proclamations tonight. Council Member Evans thanked staff for their hard work. Mayor Geierman stated that there are a number of ways to get involved during Georgia Cities Week next week. XIII. EXECUTIVE: SESSION-None XIV.
