ROLL CALL Council Members Gerald Evans, Andy Yeoman, Christopher Henshaw, Maria Alexander and Stephe Koontz were present. III. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE IV. APPROVAL OF MEETINGAGENDA Council Member Alexander made a motion to approve the meeting agenda as presented. Council Member Evans seconded the motion. The motion carried by unanimous vote (5-0). Proclamation Recognizing Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Mayor Geierman presented the proclamation recognizing Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month to Ching Hsia. B. Proclamation Recognizing Police Week Department Chief Atkinson. Mayor Geierman presented the proclamation recognizing Police Week to Doraville's Police VI. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 1.CUP-22-03- - Conditional Use Permit for aj place of worship at 3695 Stewart Road (Second Director ofl Planning and Community Development stated that he applicant, Center of Worship for the Nations, represented by Elida Covarrubias Haro, seeks a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to operate a place ofworship int the O-I( (Office-Institutional) zoning district. The applicant is proposing a place of Read) worship at 3695 Stewart Road, which is located just south oft the Kuolin Center office building. Council Member Koontz made ai motion to approve CUP-22-03 adding the condition that you can see through the entrance for Public Safety reasons. Council Member Alexander seconded the motion. The motion carried by unanimous vote (5-0). AYES/ YES: Evans, Yeoman, Alexander, Henshaw and Koontz NAYS/NO: ABSTAIN: 2.A-22-06. Amend the Zoning Ordinance to require ground floor in multifamily buildings to be Director of] Planning and Community Development Naomi Siodmok detailed that the following commercial-ready (Second Read) changes were made to this item since the April Council Meeting: Variances clearly are allowed Added height (14') and depth (20") minimums. Safety and health requirement minimums Two means of ingress and egress Sprinkler system Grease trap for future restaurants Design requirements Window requirements to ensure public feel Parking requirements Loading spaces ADA spaces Council Member Henshaw made a motion to approve.
