Cecil McLendon, City Attorney, presented the Consent Agreement that was sent to the City Council. The plans int the packet, the health department had some changes to the coffee shop area. A-23-03 - Amendments to Chapter 4 (Animals) and Chapter 23 (Zoning Ordinance) of the Code of Ordinances in order to create a combined use table for all zoning districts within the City of] Doraville, to consolidate additional standards and requirements for uses, and for other purposes. (Second Read) Naomi Siodmok, Director ofl Planning and Community Development, stated this isa second read of case A-23-03, which is an amendment to Chapter 4 and Chapter 23 oft the Zoning Code in order to create' a combined use table. She reviewed the changes sincet the first read, and recommendation of the planning commission and staff. Council Member Koontz made a motion, Council Member Alexander seconded, to approve A-23-03 the amendment to Chapter 4 (Animals) and Chapter 23 (Zoning Ordinance) of the Code of Ordinances to create a combined use table for all zoning 2 districts with the addition to allow heavy use equipment and vehicle sales with outdoor as aCUP in the M1 and M2 zoning districts and removing bus shelter line from the use table. NEW BUSINESS 1.A-23-04-4 Amendment to Chapter 23 (Zoning Ordinance) of the City of Doraville to amend zoning procedures law to reflect changes to statel law. (First Read) (Public Naomi Siodmok, Director of Planning and Community Development, presented A-23-04 Amendment to Chapter 23 (Zoning Ordinance) according to HB 1405, passed by the Georgia General Assembly in 2022. She provided a Summary ofHB 1405 and the ability tor remove the administrative variance, clarification oft the single family to multifamily. This is only for rezoning initiated by the City. She listed the Codes affected by HB 1405. Both the Planning Commission and Staff recommended the changes. The Mayor opened the public hearing. No one spoke in favor or opposition oft this item.
