P&Z Recommendation #SUP-22-17: Mike Vahle requested a special use permit for the property located at 4624 Friendship Road. The special use permit requested is to allow a three-story self-storage facility. The applicant was present and explained the request to the Board. He stated they are proposing one (1) climate-controlled storage building that will only have access from the inside the building. They are requesting a variance from the required number of parking spaces and to allow the use oft the corporate color orange on the building. There were no objections from the audience. Motion by Harley Bennett and seconded by Amy Reed to recommend approval ofthe special use permit as requested with the following conditions: 1. The special use permit requested is to allow self-storage facility with boat and RV parking and storage. Mitch Peevy spoke on behalfoft the applicant and explained the request to the Board. He stated this development would be a mixture of self-storage and boat and RV storage. He stated they are asking for a buffer reduction adjacent to residential zoned property to0 feet.
