Cleveland Community Center/Police Department 342 Campbell Street, Cleveland, GA 1. Call to Order Mayor Turner called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. PRESENT: Mayor. Josh Turner, Council Members Nan Bowen, Annie Sutton, Jeremy McClure (Mayor Pro Tem), and C.J. McDonald Council Member McDonald was in attendance by webinar. Also, present were City Administrator Kevin Harris, City Attorney Keith Whitaker, and 2. Invocation - Pastor Marc Turner, Cleveland Worship Center and White County Pastor Turner was not in attendance. Family Pastor Ryan Elrod, Cleveland Worship City Clerk Lisa Ritchie Ministerial Alliance Center and White County Ministerial Alliance gave the invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance 4. Approve Agenda Motion by Council Member Bowen, seconded by Council Member Sutton, and voted, unanimously, to approve the agenda. NEW BUSINESS 5. Annual readoption of the Rules of Decorum Motion by Council Member Bowen, seconded by Council Member McClure, and voted, unanimously, to approve the Rules of Decorum with no changes. 6. 2024-01 Resolution - 2024 Appointments Motion by Council Member McClure, seconded by Council Member Sutton, and voted, unanimously, to approve the 2024-01 appointments as shown in the approved Exhibit A. 7. Approve ESO quote for Emergency Reporting as the current vendor's reporting system will end before. July Mr. Harris discussed the item. Motion by Council Member McClure, seconded by Council Member Bowen, and voted, unanimously, to approve Chief Pruitt to execute the new contract not to 8. Variance Request for an under the counter grease trap for Donja Long, The Economic Development and Planning Director Tom O'Bryant addressed the Mayor and Council and stated that a grease trap is a requirement but that there are Ms. Long addressed the Mayor and Council Members. She said that the menu Mayor Turner verified that Ms. Long understood that if the variance was granted that the city will do inspections in accordance to the city's policies. Ms. Long stated that she understood. Mayor Turner stated that if the menu does change the variance will be lifted at that point. Ms. Long acknowledged that she understood. Approve Meeting and Called Meeting Minutes December 11, 2023 Meeting Minutes December 21, 2023 Called Meeting Minutes Motion by Council Member Sutton, seconded by Council Member Bowen, and voted, unanimously, to approve the December 11, 2023 Meeting Minutes, and the December 21,2023 Called Meeting Minutes. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 10. Rescind purchase of 2023 Ford Maverick for the Water Resources Department, and replace with a 2024 Ford Maverick Water Resources Director Andrea Smith addressed the Mayor and Council. She said the truck that was previously ordered has not become available. She stated that she found one on the lot in Cornelia at Billy Cain Ford. Mr. Harris stated that the original request was to rescind the previous vote to purchase the vehicle and to allow the purchase of the one at Billy Cain Ford. After further deliberation, he recommended the purchase of the truck from Billy Cain Ford Motion by Council Member McClure, seconded by Council Member Bowen, and voted, unanimously, to approve the purchase from Billy Cain Ford with funding from SPLOST and to continue with the order for the other truck. V.
