The Carl Junction City Council meti ini regular session on Tuesday December 15, 2020 at 7:00. PM at City Hall, Mayor Mark Powers called the meeting to order with the following present: Jim Gozia, Bob McAfee, Rick Flinn, Roger Spencer, Ladonna Allen, Mike Burns, Mark Satterlee and Gary Stubblefield. Also present were City Administrator Steve Lawver, City Attorney Mike Talley, City Clerk Maribeth Matney, Deputy City Clerk Alaina Wright and City Administrator Assistant Crystal Winkfield. AGENDA Roger Spençer motioned to approve the agenda as presented. Mark Satterlee seconded. All in favor. No opposed. LaDonna Allen motioned to approve the consent agenda. Roger Spençer seconded. QUARTERLY CHAMBER REPORT make a decision on1 the Business Expo by the end oft this year. said they are planning the events and already have sponsors for each one. Cavanaugh Studyvin presented at recap of the Chamber activities since she was hired October 1. She said they are hoping to Mark Satterlee asked if the Chamber is looking at having the Second Tuesday events again in Summer 2021. Cavanaugh REPORTS The Council reviewed the Administration report. There were no comments. Public Works report Jim Chaligoj was not] present. There were no comments. Police Dept. report- Delmar Haase reported the department is seeking charges on thej person that stole the items from LaDonna Allen asked ifthere were any updates on the radio system. Delmar said hel has been out of town andl hasn'tbeen vehicles recently. ablei to get an update. Bldg Insp report- There was no discussion. COMMITTEE REPORTS Budget/Finance: LaDonna. Allen said she needs members schedules toj plan meetings for. January. Code/ Nuisance: Rick Flinn had nothing to1 report. Human Resources: Roger Spencer had nothing to report. Public Facilities & Planning: Mark Satterlee said the committee met at 6:30 PM regarding quotes on signage for the senior center. He said the committee believes there should not be additional permanent signage attached to the building, but vinyl stickers should be applied above the outside doors in the drive through, which would match what is already inside thel building. Steve Lawver said the road signs leading to the building also need tol be updated and corrected. Senior Citizens: Gary Stubblefield hadi nothing to report. Roger Spencer said therei isa closed meeting later this evening. UNFINISHED BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS Mayor Powers wanted everyone to know hei is not one of the mayors that had ani intimate relationship with the Chinese spy.
