The Carl Junction City Council met in regular session on Tuesday June 16, 2020 7:001 PM at City Hall. Mayor Mark Powers called the meeting to order with the following present: Rick Flinn, Richard Zaccardelli, Don Marshall, Roger Spencer, LaDonna Allen, Mike Burns, Randy Hutcheson and Mark Satterlee. Also present were City Administrator Steve Lawver, City Attorney Mike Talley, City Clerk Maribeth Matney, Deputy City Clerk Alaina Wright and City Administrator Assistant Crystal Winkfield. AGENDA Roger Spencer motioned to approve the agenda as presented. Richard Zaccardelli seconded. All in favor. No opposed. The council reviewed the minutes from the previous meeting's minutes. Police Dept. report Delmar Haase reported he instructed Assistant Chief McCall to order another body camera so they are Ladonna Allen asked Delmar if he could get an estimate for radio and video upgrades by the first meeting in July and he there would be ag golftournament on July 10 at thel Briarbrook Club House. ELECTMAYOR PRO-TEM Roger Spencer received four votes. Ladonna Allen received four votes. Mayor Powers voted for Ladonna Allen break the Mayor Powers changed committee members because he wants everyone to experience all committees. Every committee now Richard Zaccardelli would like to form an ingress/egress committee with someone from the High School and the transportation department, the Police Department, the Fire Department, and Planning and Zoning. He believes they should meet Mayor Powers said Maribeth Matney sent pictures from 121 Cedar and thei front and back yards flood every time it rains and Steve Lawver has had several complaints in the past few years about Lone Oak Drive. It has 10-15 houses on it and is very narrow and the cul-de-sac has never been finished. He asked Kurt with. Allgeier Martin to look into it and give an estimate to widen and improve the road. The estimate came back at $130,000 and Steve believes the city should think about budgeting fori it over the Steve Lawver said hel has compiled a list of wants and needs from department heads, and needs to know what the council wants to dot to begin budgeting for that.
