Mayor) Mark Powers called the meeting to order with thei following present: Rick Flinn, Richard Zaccardelli, Don Marshall, Roger Spencer, LaDonna Allen, Mike Burns and Randy Hutcheson. Mark Satterlee was absent. Also present were City Administrator Steve Lawver, City Attorney Mike Talley, City Clerk Maribeth Matney, Deputy City Clerk. No opposed with one absent. PUBLIC FORUM W.G. Triplett, owner of 118 S. Main spoke about his concems for the building to the north of him. He stated there's been a sign up: for3 % years thats says donuts are coming soon. Hel had ai new roof put on his building recently, andt ther roofers took pictures of the neighboring roof and said there are large holes int the roof. He stated he was conçerned about the building deteriorating and how that would reflect on the business community. Steve Lawver responded that he and Greg Coats would look at the issue and see if anything can be done. P&ZCASES Mayor Powers asked for discussion regarding Case #20-01 - Special Usel Permit- Terri Phillips- - Air BnB. Mike Talley said hei received information earlier in the day that would impact thei issue and he would like time tol look intoi it. Roger Spencer motioned to table thei issue until the next meeting. JONATHAN LUNDAY-I HOOKING ONTO CITY WATER AND SEWER - COUNTY LANE 287 Stevel Lawver advised the council this was the sewer question that had been tabled at thel last meeting. Hes spoke with the real estate agent at length and made him aware of the significant expense that would be involved in hooking to city sewer and water. The real estate agent said he would let thej parties know and Stevel Lawver said hel has not received any further information. REPORTS The Council reviewed the Administration report. There wasi no discussion. Public Works report Jim Chaligoj reported there will be a fire going south of the Briarbrook Country Club on January 22, Jim Chaligoj spoke with Steve Lawver about sewer line on Remington Circle. Hes said the sewer is 75% collapsed and willi need to be dug up andi repaired. Mayor Powers questioned ifthef funds would come out oft the I&I fund and Steve Lawver: responded yes. Mayor Powers asked about thel I&I budget and Steve Lawver and Mike Burns responded the funds were available. Jim Chaligoj will be calling 2020. Stevel Lawver has puti it on the website and Jim Chaligoj has consulted with the fire department. companies for estimates. Police Dept. report- - The council noted thej police department applied for a $23,000 grant. COMMITTEE REPORTS Budget/Finance: Mikel Burns stated the committee has had one meeting soi far and willl have another meeting Thursday. January Code/Nuisance: Randy Hutcheson: stated thec committeel had ameetingt to discuss recommendations. on updating building codes. They were last updated in 2012, andi now they are looking ati international building codes for 2018. The committee would] like toj present the ordinance for review at the nexti meeting. Mike' Talley stated alli the codes are 2018 editions except thel National Electric Code and Human Resources: Roger Spencer advised there would be closed session at thee end of the meeting andi he might notl bej present at ther next meeting on February 4. May 4, 2020 the Red Cross and Carl Junction Firel Protection District willl hosta a sound alarm day.
