The Carl. Junction City Council met in regular session on Tuesday June 1,2021 at 7:00 PM at City Hall. Mayor Mark Powers called ther meetingt to order with thei following present: Jim Gozia, Bob McAfee, Rickl Flinn, Roger Spencer, Ladonna. Allen, Mike Burns and Gary Stubblefield. Mark Satterlee was absent. Also present were City Clerk Maribeth Matney and Deputy City Clerk Alaina Wright. AGENDA Roger Spencer motioned to approve the agenda as presented. LaDonna Allen seconded. PUBLIC FORUM REPORTS There was no one present for public forum. The Council reviewed the Administration report. There was no discussion on the administration report. Public Works report - Roger Spencer asked about thei number ofmeter disconnections this month. Policel Dept. report- - Mayor Powers asked about Highway 171 being shut down on Sunday. Bldg Insp report- No discussion. Court report. No discussion COMMITTEE REPORTS Budget/Finance: Ladonna Allen said we are hoping to receive ARP Funds around. June 30. Code/ Nuisance: Rick Flinn hadi nothing to report. Human Resources: Roger Spencer had nothing to report. Public Facilities & Planning: Mark Satterlee was not present. are allowed to seat four to at table and are serving three days per week. Senior Citizens: Richard Garrett said the Senior Center has updated the policies and they no longer require reservations, they UNFINISHED BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS Mark McCall updated the board on the fatality accident that occurred on Highway 171 on May 17,2021. Mikel Burns wants tol look intoi improving thel baseball fieldsi ini town. Maribeth Matney asked about extending the time period for people whol have al leak. She stated thes standard policy ist to allow residents three months toj pay the excessive water charges. Thei resident at 116 Concord had a leak and now has an extremely high water bill and has requested eight months toj pay the bill. Roger Spencer motioned to allow the resident at 116 Concord eight months toj pay their high bill. Gary Stubblefield seconded. Alli in favor. No opposed with one absent.
