The Carl. Junction City Council met in regular session on Tuesday April 20, 2021 at" 7:00 PM at City Hall. Mayor Mark Powers called the meeting to order with thei following present: Jim Gozia, Bobl McAfee, Rickl Flinn, Roger Spencer, Ladonna. Allen, Mike Burns, and Gary Stubblefield. Alderman Mark Satterlee was absent. Also present were City Administrator Steve Lawver, City Attorney Mike Talley, City Clerk Maribeth Matney, Deputy City Clerk Alaina Wright and City Administrator Assistant Crystal Winkfield. Jones, 3055 N Hidden Hollow, Joplin MO: stated that he has been considering buying some property off ofJJ Hwy. He stated that he was toldi it would need al lift station to deveiop it. He was not certain how to go about finding this outi ifthis was correct. Mayor Powers stated that P&Z needs to see this first and then they will make a recommendation. Mr.. Jones stated he was trying to get some clarity about the property. We will be having meetings regarding the ARP funds. Code/ Nuisance: Rick Flinn had nothing to report Human Resources: Roger Spencer had nothing to report. Public Facilities & Planning: Mark Satterlee was absent. Senior Citizens: Richard Garret stated that they! had 60+ people going through for lunch. Gary Stubblefield motioned Mayor Powers asked that this item be put on next meeting's agenda. For now, they will: stay the same for thei next 2 weeks. Roger Spencer stated that 4 Oaks Park needs some repairs under the swings. They have dug all the fill out. Ifanyone wants LaDonna Allen asked if wel had updates on construction road. Steve. Lawver said he had ai meeting with Schuber Mitchell a week ago and talked about it. Thei main topic was roads and a construction entrance. They have a plat that has not been finalized also EPA has not done their cleanup work so that has been part of the hold up. They want to finalize the plat and bring al MOU that they would only develop soi far down andj put in a construction entrance. They have 3 different locations possible for construction entrances. Mayor Powers said we need to get with. Joplin Special Road District about the Silver Oaks and Peace Church intersection. We need to that nominations cease. Bob McAfee seconded. Alli in favor.
