The Carl Junction City Council met in regular session on Tuesday February 16, 2021 at' 7:00 PM at City Hall. Mayor Mark Powers called the meeting to order with the following present: Jim Gozia, Bob McAfee, Rick Flinn, Roger Spencer, Ladonna Allen, Mike Burns, Mark Satterlee and Gary Stubblefield. Also present were City Administrator Steve Lawver, City Attorney Mike Talley, City Clerk Maribeth Matney, Deputy City Clerk Alaina Wright and City Administrator. Assistant Crystal Winkfield. REPORTS The Council reviewed the Administration report. Thel board agreed they like thei new format fort the Administration: report. Public Works report - Mayor Powers read a letter from Dr. Phil Cook thanking the public works department for their Police Dept. report - Delmar Haase brought the quote for the radio system upgrade and it's $97,000. Mayor Powers told LaDonna Allen to ensure it's in the budget. Mark Satterlee asked if this would allow us to communicate with everyone. Delmar assistance with cleaning up: from the winter weather. Haase replied yes. Bldg Insp report No discussion. Court report- -No discussion. COMMITTEE REPORTS Budget/Finance: Ladonna Allen said the budget committee had the final meeting for the new budget, and committee members are reviewing that budget now. Shes said they will submit that budget to thel board at thei first meeting inl March. Human Resources: Roger Spencer said they willl hold off on recommendations for the new evaluations at this time. Senior Citizens: Gary Stubblefield said March is a fundraising month: for the senior citizens, but they are still trying to figure Code/ Nuisance: Rick Flinn had nothing to1 report.
